Just catching this log now.

Without mobility drills, I’d be a wreck. The days are long gone when I could just jump into something cold and not regret it later.

That said, my foam roller is my best friend!
Im realizing that now at 34 2 shoulder surgeries and a bad knee…Better late then never

Yep, time for me to start some this as well. Didnt think 35 was old, but there is a huge difference from when i was 25! nice post

Mobility In Minutes from Rog Law:

Foam Roller Suggestion:

The black magic thing looks interesting. I may have missed it but how often is this supposed to be done?

Hello, my first post in the appropriate thread. I’m going to try this exercise along with my next shoulder exercises.

this thread is amzing. Does not need to be limited to over 35 at all…ill be in here more often looking for old fart warmups so i dont become an old fart
Na but im already fucked

One of the best threads on here. Mobility work keeps us young and able.

Its starting to get colder here in the northeast and my surgically repaired shoulder is getting cranky. (along with my knees, hips etc) I already do cane exercises-range of motion, and bands for rotator cuff as my shoulder warm up. Anyone have anything else that they use to warm up their shoulders (shoulders that don’t have the best range of motion) ?
For range of motion, the said rotator scarecrow, dislocates and stretching/ foam rolling shoulders(with a tennis ball) AND triceps helps a lot. For shoulder dislocates I use a jumping rope with the widest grip i can manage, trying to work torwards a narrower one as time progresses.

PG that was a good article thanks

I got a great tip from a friend

To put an LX ball in the freezer

I was dumbstruck could not wait to try it out.

Cryo therapy and lx rolling all in one.

Ok the frozen LX ball and I are now BFF’s
try it.

I stumbled across this site- while doing some research.

great photos and explanations of how to massage and assess your own shit

Have you seen the new stuff from mobilitywod at rogue fitness. I just got a gemini and I love it.

What do you know about the marc pro device? I understand every pro sports team uses this device for faster recovery from the body stress of competing and release from training muscular stress. It’s about flushing out inflammation using the lymphatic system to increase mobility and restore proper range of movement; also something about increasing capillaries and circulation. I’ve talked to several people who have had a physical therapist use this device on them and the results are astoundingly good. Input?

The mobility wod stuff at rogue looks cool - Ive been using two glass taped together
They look like good produts albeit a little expensive

you know more than me about this marc pro
I don’t known much about it - there have been devices like it around for years

I’ve had chiropractors and PT types use stim and ultrasound but no this kind of thing,

Will report more when I know more about the marc pro. My LAX ball has proved invaluable and for $3 it was worth the money. The gemini and other tools I have from Rogue Fitness will I hope be just as good or better than the LAX ball for mobility work for many years.

Glad the Rouge tools are workin out-
I am curious about this Marc device as well.

I spied this video of Dimitry Klovov doing his mobility warm up
its really simple but this guy is kind of a rock star
