Cal - I tried some on last week, they’re retail in Aus for 190AUD. How much do they retail in the UK? I can ship them to you if you like

So had a decent workout tonight… was supposed to Squat but wanted to wait until Monday when I have p;enty of time and will be refreshed from the weekend… so I did Military Press tonight as I was not too sore from Thursday. I am not very good at Military Press… so I was not thrilled… but it’s cool… gotta do what you suck at!

Military Press (using 80 as my max, even though it’s truly about 100-ish)
5 reps @ 60
5 reps @ 65
11 reps @ 70

Standing Db Shoulder Press
10 reps/9 reps/10 reps @ 30 lbs

T-Bar Row
10 reps/12 reps/12 reps @ 30 lbs

Reverse Hypers (<— think I will alternate these w/ 45’ back extensions on a regular basis… always ending my workouts with one of them…)
1 sets to failure w/ only my body weight… I got 52! I think I could have done more… but was running out of time and they HURT my hipbones…

52 reverse hypers! You go on with your bad self.

My gym doesn’t have a reverse hyper set up. I’ve done them at home with a big stability ball on a coffee table, holding onto the table legs. So divinely ghetto. :slight_smile:

Holy crap Molly, thats a HUGE saving! I hate living so far away. Would you be willing to ship to me? thats almost a 100 dollar saving. Or I might check out ebay

I like throwing them in before as a warmup a couple times a week…

Molly that’s very kind of you. The regular (classics and sprints) are around £90 in most places - or close to $150. Once I get back into running I’ll probably go for the KSOs or even flows which are a good £20-30 more (ouch). Main problem I got is I have funny shaped feet - wide forefoot, very narrow heel, and that stoopid extra bone. So I really need to go try some on first, to make sure they’re actually suited to my feet. Once I do that, I’ll give you a shout.

One of my past clients used to giggle EVERY TIME I said this. I never really got why.

Mom - I like doing them at the end because they SMOKE my back, hamstrings and glutes, and I don’t want to compromise my other lifts by doing them first… however, if they don’t have that effect on you, then doing them first is no big deal… and YES, I HEART my Vibrams! =D

Yesterday was my Mom’s 55th Birthday and we took her to dinner and I had some yummy food… but it was followed by AWFUL heartburn. I almost never get heart burn (knock on wood)… and it SUCKS! Took some Tums and felt better when I woke up this morning… well then today I juiced vegetables this morning and felt fine… had a protein shake and a cup of black tea and felt fine… had some Greek yogurt and felt fine… then for my afternoon snack I had an omelet with spinach and onions and cheese and OUCH! It started again! It was AWFUL! I was going to train at 6 but I couldn’t b/c I was hurting too badly… I didn’t think I could train at all, in fact. Well, I took some more Tums and some baking soda in water and within an hour or so I felt OK and decided to go do something…even if it wasn’t much. Well, I got to the gym and hit 2 PR’s!!! YAY!

Squat Day (5/3/1)

Wide Stance Barbell Back Squat
(using 200 as my max, even though it’s closer to 240-250)
5 reps @ 150 (75%)
5 reps @ 160 (80%)
12 reps @ 170 (85%) <----- PR! YAY! I was hoping for 10 and I rocked out and got 12!

Then I felt like annihilating my hamstrings =D

Glute Ham Raise (we have two, and I used the harder one… the EliteFTS one where the pad is tilted forward)
I EXPLODED on the way up, and then did a slow eccentric
5 sets of 10 @ BW only

Lying Leg Curl
6 reps @ 100, then 4 more sets of 6 @ 115

45 degree Back Extension
1 sets of 55! No stopping… no rests… just repped them out. OUCH! =D

I am so pumped about this workout! LOVE IT! =D

i love being right. especially about how amazingly freaking STRONG you are!

im so glad you didn those GHR’s on the elitefts machine. cuz, you know, they don’t count at all, even with a 45lb plate on your chest, if it’s not an elitefts machine.

i deadlifted tonight, plan is to bench tomorrow, squat thursday, and ohp on sunday. but if imma be down there i’d really like to squat. so we’ll squat.

So, do you train different back squat stances? If so, what is your aim in doing this?
