And I never mind you asking! I will talk about it all day! I hope people can relate to what I am going through and learn from it =D
Well, you know I can DEFINITELY relate!!
I remember thinking something was off last year…but everyone probably thought I was just trying to make an excuse, and all I heard was “fat loss takes time, blah blah blah…” easy for you to say, skinny BITCH! LMAO!! I put it off as long as I could thinking I just needed to work harder and eat less, pfft!
The tiredness and fatigue was unlike anything I ever experienced, even being a new mom I was never that fatigued…so I just went to see what that was about, and ta-da! hypo. blah…and I still don’t have all the answers…you are lucky in that it seems you have an awesome DOC!! I just went to the endo last week, and all she did was order a few more tests…no cortisol ones though…wah. I’ll probably ask about that next time.

315 is my “official” 1RM… I am thinking it’s higher than that though… =D
I guess we will see in 11 or 12 days what it REALLY is! ;D
Your max is definitely higher than that. You didn’t have to work for 315 at all. The meet is a totally different animal though… 9 big lifts in a short time. You never know how your energy will be, how heavy the weights will be, or if you will just go up there and smoke them all because you’re so excited.
Since you’re only 11 days out, you’re not pulling again are you??
Yeah I know… I REALLY hope I have crazy adrenaline going on and that I am not super worn out =P We will see since I have never done a full meet before! haha =D
This week we are benching tomorrow and squatting on Friday using the same percentages as we did on Deadlifts (5 @ 75, 3 @ 85, 1 @ 95)
and then on Monday we are going in and hitting all of our openers once on SQ, B and DL and no accessory work, and then Wednesday we are doing light SINGLES at 70%… and then we are done.
Honestly if I go more than a week without heavy lifting, it’s like I forget how to do it. When I take an entire week off, I am a freakin’ P*SSY when I get back in the gym. I do best with no more than 3-4 days of rest. I remember before I went on vacation last year I was doing 8-9 neutral grip pullups in a row when I was fresh… went on vacation for a week and couldn’t even do 4 when I got home. Took me 2 weeks to get back to where I was…
The good thing about being female is that in general, our CNS can handle more heavy lifts more often than guys, and we recover much more quickly =D (says the girl battling adrenal fatigue =P… haha but seriously… that is from f*cking figure competitions and no food… not PL-ing)

So what do you plan on opening at as a %age of your 1RM?
You’re going to squat, bench AND dead 3 days out from your meet? You’re a much braver person than I. I’ll be deadlifting heavy 2 weeks out, squatting heavy about 10 days out, benching heavy 1 week out and then squat/bench to my opener about 5 days out.
Then it’s eat, sleep and be merry
It’s certainly an adrenaline rush, just make sure you have lots to eat and drink so you don’t crash. M&Ms got me through deadlifts, I swear! hahaha
Haha well since I don’t TRULY KNOW my 1RM’s anymore it will be a guess, I guess! =D
I HAD been using 140-150 as my 1RM on bench, 240-250 as my 1RM on squat, and 315-325 as my 1RM on deads. So I will probably be opening with 135-140 on bench as I have done it a million times… I will prob open with 225 on squat, and open with 315 on deads. I am completely confident going in with those three numbers. If something crazy happens on deads I will switch to conventional in the middle of the meet just to get a good number up =D
I have been following you journals/progress both here and on FA and you are amazing! You are the biggest reason I decided to post my Beast Building training log in T-Nation’s Powerful Women section. I’m hoping that CT will notice and give me couple tips during the next two months
Good luck with everything even though I know you need very little luck as you excel because you work f-ing hard.

Hey Betty! Yeah it does suck… but I woke up feeling a bit better this morning. Yes it’s HOT! 85 and super sunny… so it feels like it’s in the 90’s… plus we tend to have so much humidity it feels like a CLOAK… YUCK! Oh well… we had lots of cold, crappy weather before this… so i’ll take it!
tests should start “trickling in” (as the receptionist said… pun intended I’m sure) in the next couple of days. But they all get sent to the Dr.'s office for her review… the Saliva test will take another couple of weeks to come back in. My appt is at the end of May…earliest they could get me in =( but they also said they will call me if they get anything back that looks really questionable that needs immediate attention… so… looks like it’s another 4 weeks or so… :::SIGH::::
And I never mind you asking! I will talk about it all day! I hope people can relate to what I am going through and learn from it =D
I dont mean to eavesdrop, but I’m curious…what is wrong? what are the tests for?
I know I probably could go back and read through your posts and find out on my own, but I’m being lazy right now…and not to mention I have a major headache, soo…yea:)
Molly - Your last pull yesterday (once it moved) went up so quick! It seemed to even surprise you a little. I’m so excited to cheer you guys on at the meet!
And yes, I am considering starting a log and not just lurking all the time =) Besides all you ladies on here are having WAY too much fun, and I want in on it!
Nanasarieh - holy crap that is one of the coolest things anyone has ever told me! Thank you so much for the kind words! Can’t wait to follow your log! =D
Jim (squat1000) - haha you are so right. You have to have a thick skin to train with our group!
Claire - thank you so much! I am so glad to have friends lifting with me as well… It will make it such a cool experience! =D
Chocolate - it’s OK… I didn’t post the whole deal here… I just posted a link to it. Here is the link if you want to read about it:
Basically, we think I am battling adrenal fatigue which would cause thyroid problems, nutrient deficiencies, blah blah blah… =( I am awaiting the results, and will share them as soon as I get them! I am just working through the fatigue and dealing with some unexplained weight gain… (GRRR!) but I will be fine! I will keep you updated! =D
Skye - I am SO excited! But super nervous as well. I always get nervous… even before a big lift in the gym… but as long as I can channel the nervousness into positive energy, then I am fine! =D
