Had a good workout today… had my knees wrapped for the first time when squatting… OMG… UBER PAINFUL! And my wraps weren’t even that tight! I don’t know how people can survive wrapping their knees really tight…

Barbell Back Squat (250 as my max)
65% of 1RM - 5 reps @ 165
70% of 1RM - 5 reps @ 175
75% of 1RM - 5 reps @ 190

Step-ups
3 sets of 6 reps @ 155 lbs

DONE! =D

Oh yeah… then I had a 2.5 hour massage! =D

Here is my last set of squats

190 for 5 reps…

JUST hitting depth which is exactly what I am looking for right now ;D

(Oh yeah… keep in mind this is a DE-LOAD WEEK! We go for heavy singles next week =D)

Drag the Sled
Forward 4x using 180 lbs
Backward 2x using 180 lbs

Kroc Rows
90 lb DB for 20 REPS! YAY!!! I was so *EXCITED! =D

(sorry I didn’t go for the 95’s Ouro… but I WILL use 100’s next week and I think I can get at least 15 reps! WHOO HOO!)

Skye - haha heck yeah they are! I see lots of big boys rowing between 40 and 70 lbs… Pffft! haha ;D

Betty - Yes I show my right side for a couple of reasons… I want to show whichever arm I do first b/c I am fresher and it looks better… also since I do my strong side first, I know I push myself to the limit… and then I HAVE to do that many with my weak(er) arm… I refuse to quit… if I did my left arm first I may have given up after 17 or 18…

but since I knew I got 20 on my right side… mentally I force myself to do the same on the left… make sense?

And the left side feels OK… a little weaker… and probably a tad sloppier… but it gets it done! =D

yep, makes sense…kind of…cause I have been under the assumption start with the weaker side as far as unilateral stuff…meh.

Yeah Betty… I have also started with my weaker side plenty of times on other exercises… I guess it kind of depends on my mindset at the time… (i.e. can I REALLY push myself today? or do I need to take it a little easy and focus on form? you know…?) =D

Took today off! Upper back is SMOKED from yesterday and I have been tired all day… big surprise! =P

I have heavy deadlifts tomorrow… work up to 95% of my max… we will see how that goes… may try to get a video =D

Hey Betty! Yeah it does suck… but I woke up feeling a bit better this morning. Yes it’s HOT! 85 and super sunny… so it feels like it’s in the 90’s… plus we tend to have so much humidity it feels like a CLOAK… YUCK! Oh well… we had lots of cold, crappy weather before this… so i’ll take it!

tests should start “trickling in” (as the receptionist said… pun intended I’m sure) in the next couple of days. But they all get sent to the Dr.'s office for her review… the Saliva test will take another couple of weeks to come back in. My appt is at the end of May…earliest they could get me in =( but they also said they will call me if they get anything back that looks really questionable that needs immediate attention… so… looks like it’s another 4 weeks or so… :::SIGH::::

And I never mind you asking! I will talk about it all day! I hope people can relate to what I am going through and learn from it =D

Had a FANTASTIC workout today! Was supposed to work up to a heavy single on deadlifts using 95% of my max… it was supposed to look like this:

Deadlifts
5 reps @ 75%
3 reps @ 85%
1 rep @ 95%

I was going to use 325 for my 1RM here since I REALLY wanted to pull over 300 today >;D

So I was supposed to pull 245 for 5, 275 for 3, 310 for 1… well got my numbers a little mixed up on the first set… here is how it went

5 reps @ 240 <---- felt pretty good here
3 reps @ 275 <----- first 2 were PRETTY! Last one, not so much!
Then I was DYING to go for 315… since it’s my highest pull ever… however I pulled 315 conventional… I have never pulled it sumo style before, and when I pulled it conventional… it was pretty ugly. I was nervous as hell… but I went for it and I GOT IT!

I was so PUMPED! It felt so freaking easy! That was the most exciting part. At first it felt nailed to the ground… then once I got it off the ground it FLEW up! I have it on video… will load it tonight when I have my laptop back… It seriously went up FAST! I REALLY think I can pull 350 now at this meet! YAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

Then I did:

Pullthroughs (focused on bringing the hips which is super important in sumo)
4 sets of 16 @ 72.5 lbs

Ab wheel
4 sets of 10
