heres one. now i am currently in the marines am 6’3 and 185… at 5.9%bf no my question is… why is it no matter what i try… diet, work out, or just slow up on the cardio, that i cannot break like a 195 lbs plane… it feels like there is some kinda anti gain barrier going on…

I remember Shugs posting ages ago in an article that he regularly got questions like yours. Eventually he decided he’d help people if they sent him 6 months of food logs. Nobody answered him.
I’ll go out on a limb here and hazard a guess that you’re not eating enough. Prove me wrong - eat 240 g of protein a day for a month without missing a meal.

Why 240gr? Even if he did only focus on protein, he could still undereat. Protein isn’t the only nutrient your body needs to grow. At his weight, it isn’t like he NEEDS 240gr of protein, especially if the rest of his diet is out of wack.
The one truth is, I have yet to meet the person who stated “no matter how much I eat I can’t grow” and was actually eating enough to gain weight. Unles your ass is connected to a black hole (which would suck), you simply aren’t getting enough calories.

It’s a number. I agree with everything else you posted.
- from my own experience, I found that concentrating on that for a month upped all my food intake.
- I found (initially, hence 1 month above) focusing on the protein will avoid the stuffing-face-with-pizza-twice-a-day while claiming to eat like a horse.
- 240 is easily divided into 5/6 meals, depending on your schedule.
