Military Pressing Form

Alright, I have a quick question regarding military press form. From what I’ve learned recently, “correct form” looks something like this. This is not quite what I have been using.

I forget where I learned my form, from, but these are the main differences:

  1. I use a wide grip (usually the same as my bench-press grip). My middle finger is usually on the rings.
  2. I try not to go far below a 90 degree bend in my elbows. Going all the way down as far as I can, I’ve felt my chest crack, so I avoid it.

Seems to me like I can both use heavier weight with my form, and I feel a more intense burn in my shoulders. Is there a problem with my form as is?

I think your form is good as it sounds very safe, but I think you can work your shoulders more thoroughly using a full ROM. You’re almost turning it into a tricep exercise doing it as is.
