I for one have never understood the “hate” so many people that have some fighting experience or are competitive fighters have with people buying and wearing products that one of their sports sponsors sell. Can you imagine what the NFL would say if the players openly talked shit about people who bought jerseys? I dont wear affliction or tapout stuff, cuz I think for a fat guy my age it would just look silly…but not because I think fans or people who support their sport of choice are douche bags or anything like that. I think you and enray are missing what we’re talking about.
We’re not talking about people buying and wearing tapout/affliction, we’re talking about a certain type of douchebags that wear the gear and brag in the hope that they’ll be perceived as fighters, despite never having competed, let alone trained.
It’s sort of like the guy at the bar who gets a trident tattoo on his arm (or for those in commonwealth countries, a winged dagger) and says he’s a Navy SEAL. Not nearly as bad obviously, but similar.

ya, I get you…I still think you need to tread carefully…IF you are a competitive fighter, and hope to make a living one day in combat sports, you better think before you belittle people who spend their money on your sponsers. But I understand your point. I was a bouncer for many years as a young buck, for a few years the thing was for the wannabe toughguys was they were some sort of black belt in something, then it was a navy seal or green beret, then it was “bounty hunter”…now I bet it is “I do MMA”…LOL
