Mike Israetel - Overload Progression?

I’ve been reading about Mike Israetel and his volume landmarks on Renaissance Periodization and I’m very interested to implement some of his training styles. I understand how to structure the mesocycle, increasing sets from the minimum effective volume (MEV) to the maximum recoverable volume (MRV), along with relative intensity from 4 or 5 reps from failure to 1. So that pretty much covers overload microcycle to microcycle, however, how is overload supposed to be applied from meso to meso? I would assume add weight and/or a rep or two to what was done last meso and repeat? Thanks!
