I’m gonna be buttfuck nowhere for the summer working in some camp outside of a logging community in British Columbia. In order to keep my strength and fitness up I was thinking of purchasing some TRX bands to hang off trees and such before work for the day. Does anyone have any resources for exercises for the bands? I won’t be purchasing them retail as I know a person who can get me them for cheap but have never really used them. They seem like the most plausible way to keep my fitness rounded during the 3 months where I will not be able to access a gym.

Bodyweight exercises, find some big rocks and lift them or logs, run sprints. One thing my training partner and I do is. Goblets then a 50-100yd sprint pushups/pullups and then walk back. I personally would focus on bodyweight exercise. There is a link on here about a 5month bw exercise plan.
Another thing you could focus on is trunk or abdominal strengthing. Look up Combat Conditioning or get back to me, I have a work out that will improve your overall strength and you do not need any equipment
You can get into great condition and build strength with bodyweight exercises. The book “Convict Conditioning (not to be confused with Combat Condititioning)” can give great insight into turning ordinary calisthenics into real strength. For example, progressing from regular pushups to one-arm pushups, performing handstand pushups, to single-leg squats. Even though Rocky IV was kind of cheesy, it undoubtedly had some of the most inspiring training sequences. Lunges in the snow with logs, pullups in the old barn, etc. You can make this an opportunity to get into the best shape of your life, since you have more control of your exposure to distractions. So dig into Youtube for Rocky 4 training for ideas. Zach Even-Esh has good stuff, also, with Underground Strength Coach. Best of luck in West Bumfuck.
I must work 3 weeks in the middle of primeval forest. My goal is to lose fat while maintaining strength. What I really need is a training program. Otherwise I just do some random nonsense. Tomorrow I will post a picture of my equipments. It may help you to help me.
I think I can figure out a hard program for upper body and arms but not sure how to maintain leg muscles. I think I could do HIIT and some kind of circuit training. I would apprisiate any helpful thoughts.
I made my own suspension trainer from a length of rope tied into a loop with a reef knot. Then I made knots along the length to form one length of doubled up rope. Then I cut off 2 6" sections of metal pipe for handles and attached them to the rope with 1m lengths of chain, connected with karabiners. The whole thing cost around £12 from my local hardware shop, which is a lot cheaper than you can buy them for. Plus the weakest point of each handle can hold 224kg so it should be durable.
To use it I just sling it over a tree or frame or whatever. To adjust the length just wrap it around more times. Not particularly clever but it works perfectly. I find it great for pull-ups, inverted rows, push-ups and dips.
Furo, you may want to look at the date of the last post in a thread before you post. People will start to break your balls if you keep posting in threads that have been dead for over a year.

Not making fun of anyone, but I find it funny that the OP hasn’t posted in two years. This thread was started April 2010, bumped April 2011, and then bumped again June 2012.
