Michael Vick, What An Idiot....

I hate to tell ya this dude, but if you go 3 steps back from the dealer to supplier to the person who supplies the supplier, I think you’d find that they don’t live in a “shithole” but instead live in a manner very akin to your ‘pillars of society.’
Really, I go back just ONE supplier and find a career felon. And this particular instance is a very personal matter that I’m talking about. Having spent a few years in the Sheriffs Dept. inside and outside county prison, I see it a different way, sorry if it doesn’t fit with your experiences.

Dude, you’ve been bitching about this one topic for the past 2 pages and you talk about someone else’s computer use?

I doubt anyone cares about this topic as much as you seem to.
Dude, if my bitching offends you and no one cares about this except me, then why do you feel the need to waste your time adding absolutely nothing to this thread?

It’s ok to stay out of something that you don’t find up to your standards. Really, it’s ok.
Professor X wrote:

Lessens the truth of the point? I’m laughing at you and your point.
By the way, which of my points were you laughing at?

 1. Vick is an idiot

 2. People that “need” drugs to get through life are idiots.

 3. That low level drug dealers might just be more violent/shady than oil execs.

By the way, my family and I are going through pure HELL because of a family member getting caught up in that 3rd- step-back drug dealer right now.

You know, changing locks, having people show up unannounced, “looking” for said family member. Having to deliver a brand new side-by-side refrigerator to that 3rd party dealer so this family member didn’t get beaten for non-payment. Waking my wife out of nightmares 3-4 times per week.

No, this guy that sells pot, Oxy, E, and whatever else is really a great guy. He’s just misunderstood, that’s all.

Sorry if I seem a little passionate about all this.

You edited “seriously” which was written all wrong and I know it.

Since you asked for help and in light of your post, I`m like, all there for you…

And yes, I can be incredibly anal…

It seems like you may have a problem recognizing that drugs aren’t inherently evil and don’t turn everyone involved with them into a scumbag.

Considering that weed is illegal, it should be no surprise that career felons are involved with it. I seriously doubt any of these scumbags would have an interest in marijuana if it were legal and grown for commercial use.

Being a member of a police force or working in a prison, you’re bound to be in frequent contact with the dregs of society. Many of them are involved in the drug, specifically weed, game. So what? Many involved in the weed game DON’T end up in prison because they are not career felons and had an otherwise clean legal history and something to offer society.

I have a lot of sympathy for your situation with your family member, but sometimes you have to remember to not let your passions get the best of you.

As an aside, if anyone saw the “Really?!?!” thing on SNL that they did on Mike Vick, that was some funny shit.

And he’s still a multi-million dollar quarterback capable of playing in one of the most physically competitive leagues out there…not quite the highland games, but I’m sure he can sleep okay at night despite not shooting 98/100 on his sheriff’s exam.

Wait…the good part:

I wonder how many people would make an effort to create posts saying they jumped to conclusions as fast as they made posts about how stupid he was.

The bad thing is, everyone will remember the charge and no one will remember the fact that he was found to not be holding anything.

It is like being accused of rape. no one remembers you being found not guilty.

I don’t get it then.

Whatever the details are, he got in trouble because he was trying to hide the fact that he had contraband in an airport. If that isn’t the sign of a moron, that he just HAD to bring contraband in the airport and try to get it on a plane or whatever the circumstances may be.

And who gives a crap if some here think
“Oh, it was just the smell”, or “Jeez, it was just a little weed” or that’s a stupid law".

The fact is that he got caught trying to be a sneaky little brat.

When does common sense take over and tell you “Hey, maybe this is kind of childish.”?

Oh, and who cares if he’s “famous” and famous people are prone to do stupid things. He acted like a moron here, period.
Care to retract that one?

Probably not…at least not without throwing in one last dig at the man even though everyone was pretty much off the mark for this one.

By the way ESPN just announced that it was not an illegal substance in the bottle.

Absolutely! Consider it retracted. And why would I care to throw one last dig in on ANYONE, let alone Vick.

It turns out I was wrong about Vick and I say great for him and bad on me for listening to seven different news outlets saying he was caught with weed.

Jumping to conlusions is one thing, being mislead by an entire news industry is waaaaaaay worse.

It would appear even YOU were duped because you believed there was at least some truth to the story.

Oh, and yes, I edited my typing mistake as soon as I noticed it. I don’t claim to be a perfect typist, I only ask that if you’re going to inject yourself into a thread by being an asshole, you should at least take your time and spell your insults correctly. Did I have any spelling errors BEFORE your original post that caused you to post it in the first place?
alownage wrote:
No, I don’t have that problem at all. I do see however more and more recreational users get more and more involved in activities that put them at great physical risk.

A friend of mine had given his a ride home to a friend of his. They hung out only to smoke or otherwise imbibe. Minutes after my friend had driven away, the other man was beaten to death by 4 men to whom he owed money to.

I was so close to this scenario without actually ever having “used” that I was questioned by homicide investigators. This is my real point, even though drugs can be harmless and fun, quite often it get out-of-hand.

And let’s not even bring up the fact that we are all here trying to get and stay healthy and strong. In my opinion, drugs and great health don’t mix.

Do you always respond to things with no understanding of the context in which it was written?

Since you missed it, I listed some “highlights”, some creative, some physical to dispell the notion that was put out there that drugs, especially marijuana opened up you mind to a whole new, exciting world of creativity etc. I was responding that man is capable of many things without weed, which according to the original post, wasn’t possible.

You may need to read back a few posts before your next response or run the risk of looking like a dumbass again.

Wait…the good part:
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick was not carrying marijuana or another illegal substance at the Miami airport and will be exonerated, league sources told ESPN’s Chris Mortensen on Sunday.

I jumped in feet first…

My bad, I hope he has a good year in his new system, new coach ect.

Bullshit. It shows self-loathing, a lack of interest in being an active participant in life, a general disregard for loved ones and ignorance of personal health.

I know, I’ve been on both sides of the tracks. I have a right to say these things. My days being straight have by far, been the most enjoyable days of my life.

Drowning your misery in alcohol and narcotics is the height of denial. Oh, yes, denial is the biggest drug of them all.

Having full control of your faculties is far more satisfying than being a babbling idiot. You don’t know shit, Majin. If you knew you didn’t know shit, that would be something. You don’t even have that.

Being high isn’t cool. It’s not impressive. It’s not a lifestyle. It’s stupid. That is all it is, you fool.

That’s asking far too much from at least a few guys posting here.

I know you weren’t exactly sticking up for me directly but I’m happy to see someone else with more experience than me backing me up.
