what would be a better overall purchase Low-Carb Metabolic Drive =b4 bed, snacks or Grow! Whey for the same reasons?
Grow! Whey if you’re trying to gain size, Metabolic Drive if you’re watching your calories or carbs. Both are excellent so you win regardless of your choice. Cheers on the Surge during/pwo.

I think whey is only appropriate first thing in the morning and before/during/after training. It digests fast which is good when you’re in a catabolic state and need a quick burst of amino acids in your system. But it doesn’t make a good meal replacement, or before bed snack, because it doesn’t last very long.
Metabolic Drive digests slowly and gives you a steady release, making it good for a meal replacement or before bed snack.
So get a few tubs of both, and use them appropriately.

Metabolic Drive. For many of the reasons Gabby said. Certainly before bed. Grow! Whey has concentrate in it also which makes it better than whey isolate as a snack/meal replacement. But I think you are better off getting protein from food and only using Grow! Whey to supplement intake if need be.
Slow-digesting Metabolic Drive is excellent pre-bed. Probably better for most people in most situations than any whole food source.
Yeah. Pretty much what everybody else said - Metabolic Drive works better as a meal replacement then Grow! Whey. If you have to pick one, go with Metabolic Drive.
i sometimes had trouble sleeping when i have done a double day (either cardio am and cardio pm OR lifting am cardio pm) and since taking met drive right before bed and zma about 60-90 mins before i have had many full sleep nights! and i have the choccy Metabolic Drive… its something to do with the insulin spike it gives you, very steady like other posters have put here…

i know this is off topic…but it sometimes give me gas…is this normal? and what can i do about it
well i would put that down to the way whey isoalte is used in conjunction with the calcium and phosphate… phosphate (in it’s counterpart) is very conducive to an active gut! it can also cause upset with people who have very very sensitive substances, but thats only when your taking the equivalent of three to four servings at a time… having said that Metabolic Drive has very very pure micellar casein so it should make you less gassy than other less pure products…

If cost isn’t an issue Metabolic Drive which is a blend of whey and casein is always the better choice, period. Unless someone has a specific reason like an allergy to casein which prevents them from using it. Grow! Premium Whey in my view is more of an economy choice product.
For instance let’s say you are a young college student or in a situation where every penny had to be budgeted. Then the five pound container of Premium Whey is ideal. It’s quality whey only protein that will last a while. You can mix it in milk for some milk protein if desired.
The blend is best but the whey only will work. I have the Grow! Premium Quality Whey and use a scoop if it in my Metabolic Drive shake to stretch the Metabolic Drive out. Again, there’s nothing wrong with whey it’s just the IMO a blend of both whey and casein for the faster and slower digestion is optimal.

I’m not gonna bother suggesting, because everyone else has (for the record, I’d take both…Grow! Whey before/after workout, Metabolic Drive at night before sleep).
However, sure, you can add more water to the mix if you’d like. I add as much as I need to get a decent consistency/weight.
Also, try lukewarm or warm water. I think it tastes best warm, I hate cold protein drinks (unless it’s with milk, obviously).
I would go with Metabolic Drive. Grow! Whey actually is designed to be added to something else from what I can tell. I mean, it’s “neutral-flavored” so that right there tells me it’s not supposed to be a full-blown MRP.
Just sounds like Metabolic Drive would be more appetizing if you’re only looking for something to suck down right before bedtime.

Smart choice. Metabolic Drive has a lot of casein, which stays in your system longer. And since you’ll be drinking it before bedtime, it’s better for you to have than Grow! Whey, which is strictly whey.
