Metabolic Drive/Grow! Whey for V-Diet

Ok, so I am interested in attempting the velocity diet in the near future. In my planning, I am trying to find ways to potentially cut costs. I have read that the micellar casein found in Metabolic Drive, which I have been using for a while now, creates a kind of gel in your stomach, slowing the rate at which it, along with other proteins mixed with it, is absorbed. My question is this:

Is there a significant advantage to having a shake containing two scoops of Metabolic Drive vs. one scoop of Metabolic Drive and one scoop of Grow! Whey?

The alternative contains slightly more protein, fewer carbs, and is cheaper.

I realize the answer will most likely be that it will still be absorbed faster, but I just wanted to be sure. If absorption rates aren’t too different, this would definitely be a cheaper way to go.

Even if I decide not to do the diet, I figure this info could still be useful during a less extreme diet.

Thanks.

Just do it the way Chris made it, don’t try to complicate things. Follow the directions and you will succeed. I’m assuming you really want to do this diet, although it’s not for everyone. What are your reasons for doing it?

I’m not an expert by far, but I doubt it would work that well using the Grow whey. I’m pretty sure it gets absorbed too fast.

Anyways, good luck with whatever decision you make.

I did the V-Diet in February, so if you have any questions feel free to PM me.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I was just curious and figured I would ask. As I mentioned, I was pretty sure it would come down to an absorption rate issue.

My reason for doing the diet is to hopefully get much closer to finally feeling comfortable with my shirt off. I’ll pm you with a little more detail, and see if you have any input to kindly share.

Definitely use a whey/casein blend, such as Metabolic Drive. Metabolic Drive also has added potassium chloride, which will f*** you up if you don’t take enough of during the diet.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I’m sorry, I should have asked a general question about the combination and not have lumped it with the V-Diet. I understand the V-Diet is the V-Diet, and with modifications its no longer the V-Diet.

Nothing wrong with modifying the V-Diet. Just do it smartly.

Lots of failed V-Dieter’s would agree with that statement.
