“G-Flux” mabye?
What made you decide to use starch water for a WO drink? There may be a few grams carbs but anything I’m missing?

Yeah, G-Flux! LOL.
I don’t know. It just kind of hit me that the damn noodles were giving up some starch. I just thought “I wonder if this would do anything for me”. I don’t notice anything in the taste. I’m just experimenting.
Edit: To be clear, the starch amount is not insignificant. I’ve let it dry out and it’s a few Tablespoons. The rice pasta really gives up a lot more starch than durham wheat pasta. It almost starts to disintegrate when it cooks down.
Just wanted to say that you look great and that your cooking threads have been a huge inspiration!

Thanks man!
I always think of you when I pick up heavy shit in the snow!
Hey Steely- you da man, man!
I’ve really been adding carbs weekly while keeping the calories up. I noticed a vein in my triceps I’ve never seen before LMAO!
I think I’m in a growth phase right now. Volume is back up so I must be burning through the carbs.

Ok, wait a minute…NO one commented on this choice of Grade A cuisine…
Damn that looks like the bestest, most tastiest meal you posted!
No offense brother, but when I am I invited over for dinner? LOL
EDIT: There better be a picture of HOT CHIC or this posts looks a little silly.

LOL… I’m guessing you’re talking about the pic of the wife? LOL… Tasty AND a good workout!
Here’s another food pic. I’m eating this right now, post benching. 1.2 lbs of strips and 1/4 lb of rice pasta steeped in steak juice…
I just want to say thank you to everyone who has PM’d, emailed, G+'d, or contacted me otherwise for the kind words.
I don’t see myself anywhere near where I want to be, but just trying to get bigger and stronger until “diet time”. The ‘recomp’ is going well and the sled has been tremendous just in the past weeks. Already starting to lean out in the face, calves have been swole’d for a week, and vascularity is coming out in the arms and shoulders more.
All I’ve really done diet wise is cut bread (and wheat) and pure whey shakes and shakes in general. Not that that is a recommendation to anyone but it seems to be working for me for now.
I would rather work much harder than to eat much less.
Thanks again.
Bread sucks. I have greatly reduced my intake of baked goods and the results are visible.
You’re doing good man…“perma-bulk” and all.

Thanks PX.
Have you reduced carbs in general, or just the bready stuff?
I think on average in the past couple months, my daily, well, probably better to say my weekly carbs numbers have acually gone up, all in the form of rice, rice pasta/noodles, and potatoes. But I’ve been adding more work, too.
I’ve been drinking an RTD that’s easily available, but it has some stuff in it I don’t really want to load up with. Finally got around to ordering some MD so I don’t have to buy them (convenience is not necessarily the best choice lol).
All carbs have been reduced. I almost back to where I was but before the accident, I had clearer abs at the same body weight. My shoulder is coming back up slowly.

You are WAY too humble dude. Incredible progress - you should not feel inadequate about anything!!! : )

I actually like Steely’s view of himself. I think it’s part of what keeps him from overthinking it while following a simple tried-and-true approach. Almost child-like, and obviously it’s working for him.

Oh I agree. I’m happy he’s not an arrogant dick, but he can give himself a little more credit for what he’s accomplished.
Being humble is an admirable quality, no doubt.

HA! I’m naturally a ‘fat guy’ … lol… Well, that’s not really true, either.
If I knew a bit more when I lost all that weight before starting to lift heavy, I would have done that much differently. I just went with what I knew-- and that was in college when I was rowing crew, running everyday, and playing a lot of hockey, I was thinner…
I should have hit the heavy stuff from day one and maybe gotten away from so much cardio. Meh.
