I have completed a couple of weeks of meltdown and some odd things have happened. I have lost fat from everywhere except my midsection. I lost an inch off my arms and my legs look completely smooth. Not defined at all…But oh are my forearms ripped!
Now before I knew a damn thing about anything (which wasnt long ago sadly) I had done a few weeks of Christian’s OVT program mixed with a two week cycle of double dosing MAG10. That combo was amazing I acutally saw my abs for the first time ever…But the problem is that doing the OVT program did not translate well to boxing AT ALL. I am sure it wasn’t meant to, but what did I know. Nothing obviously. Now here’s the question…Did I get such great results from the OVT program because it was just proof that I did not have as much lbm as I thought and since I was building muscle all of a sudden everything came through? How come a mass gaining program leaned me out more than a fat loss program? If I double dosed MAG10 the meltodwn 1 program would I get similar results as OVT?
I am pretty new here myself. I also did OVT training a couple months back, and reduced my body fat levels to all time lows personally.
I then switched to meltdown training and I did not lose anymore body fat. My diet had changed slightly, going from strict Anabolic Solution to the T-Dawg 2.0, and wondered if that was why.
This probably does not help you much, other than to know the same thing happened to me.
My theory is that different things work for different people, and I will be working towards another cycle of OVT as it worked so well.
I am curious what the more educated people think too.
If you go back and read the Meltdown article a little closer, you’ll see that it is normal for the fat to come off the extremities first and last in the “stubborn areas.” Stick with it and you’ll drop that midsection fat.
Hey I looked at the graph in the meltdown article and it had abdomen first then followed by extremeties…I guess I shoulda read it a few times instead of twice…I interpreted it wrong…stupid a.d.d.
But that still doesnt explain why ovt worked better than meltdown??
If you were using MAG-10 - especially at a double dose - then you won’t be able to compare results directly from program to program. Try Meltdown with MAG-10, or OVT without, and then see what happens. That would be a fair comparison, but with a PS thrown into the mix you’re not going to be able to judge one program to another in a direct manner.
Also, your eating patterns may have been different on the two programs (at least, I hope they were), and as was pointed out above, different people respond differently to different protocols. Just an individual thing.
