Where I’m from, the only people I hear bitching about equal rights for women, are women. And when they’re given equal rights, they bitch about that too. It’s a vicious cycle.
Yes, women and men are not equal in every aspect. But I think you’re misunderstanding; equality is one thing, but treating women as weak and defenseless humans that are unable to defend themselves or inflict serious damage to gasp men, is just stupid. I totally see why some of you are claiming that the world isn’t right because women aren’t treated the same as men. I hate to poo down your parade, but life is just unfair. There are several things that women could claim are “unfair” that men get better treatment on. I don’t even want to start a “list”, because it’ll turn ugly very quickly. Having said that, no one should EVER hit anyone! Having said that again, TYPICALLY men are stronger than women and therefore a man hitting a woman knows he will “win”. On Mel Gibson - he’s a piece of donkey shit. No one should ever use the threat of hitting someone as ammunition in a fight, even if only verbal at the time. I’m sure his girlfriend isn’t the perfect angel she comes across to be in the tapes, but I certainly don’t think she (or anyone) deserves that treatment no matter the circumstance.

See now you are throwing words into my mouth. I did not say women are weak or defenseless, I’m saying they are weaker then men and are at a huge disadvantage in hand to hand combat and as such it is a mans responsibility to recognize this disadvantage that women have and not treat them as equals in any aspect of combat or any other physical endeavor.
As a boxer I’ve known many women boxers who despite being really good fighters would never bare fist fight even an untrained man. Reason being is despite years of training a man possesses the strength that could literally kill a woman with one punch. When a woman can literally train for years in combat and still be at a disadvantage when fighting an untrained male then there is a HUGE disparity between the fighting ability of a man and woman.
Having said that women CAN hurt men and any woman who attacks a man should be prosecuted like a man, but just because I don’t think the law should treat women differently doesn’t mean I don’t think you as a man should treat them the same as well.
The law also shouldn’t treat the elderly any different and prosecute them as well if they attack someone, but just because the law should prosecute them doesn’t mean if a 90 yr old woman punches you its okay to knock her ass out. As the stronger and more physically capable species we have a responsibility to protect those weaker than us.
Life isn’t fair, get the fuk over it. So long as we have notcieable physical differences there will be bias and prejudice. That’s the way the human mind and our culture is, no point in bitching about it. There’s cultures that treat woman like 3rd class citizens and can damn near beat them to death in public without reprimand.
So forgive me if I’m not crying men a river if for once women have a slight advantage in our culture. Congrats to them for overcoming decades of mistreatment and coming out on top.
