There is 9 grms of leucine and 93 grams of protein in 12 oz of steak. Money better spent on steak. Every 3 years… Supp companies rotate to the next amino acid as the new holy grail. Eat meat and get them all and tell them to STFU.

Gingers produce extra glutamine. I’m waiting for arginine and tyrosine to come back in fashion. I always liked those. Btw… They say eating is 5000x more effective than the placebo… For everything! Sex… Lifting…SAT’s… It’s fucking drug like man.

Does anyone use HMB or is it still too dam expensive???

cheers!!!

No serious poster here is suggesting that eating solid food insn’t the foundation for progress. You are correct that if buget restrictions require a choice between food for meals or some BCAA powder one is better served to purchase the food. I also agree that if you stick around long enough not only will you see the same ‘formulas’ reappear, but as different companies emerge you see them adopt the identical business model of the previous ‘king of the hill’ (only the characters change). Where I disagree is with the cynical shadow you cast upon all supplements. Just like with any other tool, in the hands of a craftsman they improve accuracy, in the hands of a fool only folly.

That’s in Ensure now!
They served it at the last AARP meeting.

Haha that’s too funny.

Anyway OP Charles was recommending that much because he had a vested interest in BCAA sales…I think they are more useful while dieting, but BCAAs during the workout definitely let me go harder, longer (pre-emptive “That’s what she said”

Why would you? It’s effect is so negligible as to be irrelevant.

Huge fan of the 40g peri-workout. Came up with the calculation of 5g per 50lbs of bodyweight (I guess 1g per 10lbs would make sense too). Has been working well with my young lads that are trying to gain mass - even with no other changes to diet.
Agree with the post about Charles pumping what he sells; but the man’s results don’t lie.
