I don’t clam to be any leaner than I am.

I don’t care about being leaner to just impress you or anyone else.

In my opinion, it takes way more heart and work to build all of that muscle.

It takes a few months to diet if that is your goal.

If you have never gotten lean and never truly dieted down to single digits how are you able to compare anything to it? It is like me saying it isnt all the hard to get to 250+. I have never done it so I cant comment on it.
It doesn’t take more heart to eat big and lift. Those things are actually very enjoyable and require a big effort. However, they do NOT require ONGING discomfort. Sure it might feel a bit unpleasant at times to push big weights, but it’s nothing like near-constant hunger, disturbed sleep, fatigue, and willingness to turn food away, and at the extreme competitive level, weird shit like pain in the feet because of such low bodyfat.

100% agree. I love eating. I love training. But cutting fucking sucks. Brain gets tired, body tired, hunger. Wanting to eat arm at times. And I haven’t even truly dieted. And probably never will contest diet for that reason. I will suck it up to get lean but not that lean

Pounding and food and weights everyday is awesome and easy relative to dieting

I agree some are “impressive”. What does that have to do with the amount of muscle gained?

Sometimes, it just seems like you come in here assuming everyone wants and needs to hear you opinion on things, especially how to “get huge muscles”.
Uh, no. I started a thread to discuss a topic. if you or anyone else doesn’t like that topic, you move on.

It is as simple as that.
PX wrote:
Uh, that is what bulking up is.
Uh, nope, the term ‘bulking’ was first used back when bodybuilders would come off of their contest preparations and not concern themselves with packing on excessive bodyfat. Like many of the ‘golden age’ lore, as we learned more, we realized that while there may have been great results during that time, it wasn’t always for the reasons initially thought. Gains were made because more time was spent in the gym as the years went on, and usually the PEDs taken leading up to contests were still in the system for the several weeks post show (hence the unsubstantiated concept of a post contest rebound when surplus calories are reintroduced ← totally my own opinion).

Bulking up usually connotes the addition of unnecessary bodyfat as one hopes to add lbm at a quicker rate. Most modern strength coaches agree that it’s not only not needed, but not the best practice.

There is a reason few people keep up the serious lifting into their 30’s and 40’s.

It is understood by most that some body fat is inevitable for most people no matter what when gaining especially if trying to take advantage of that age window mentioned (something you ignore over and over)…

Bulking up does not mean you IGNORE fat gains. It means that gaining muscle is the top priority with body fat as a secondary or tertiary.

I am still wondering why anyone thinks that anyone means you gain fat on purpose.
