Anyways, to X: You stand by your claim that Bauber had to have “bulked up” just because he got to the size he did. I find fault with this because it seems like you are just saying that adding muscle is “bulking” when it’s really just adding muscle.
Uh, that is what bulking up is.

YOU are the one trying to relate this to some amount of body fat.

Also, in regards to Prof saying, “takes more heart to build muscle than lose fat”. I think that is an unfair and biased opinion, because Professor X obviously has never done what it takes to get as lean as the guys on here giving him shit. That would be like me trying to claim that my area of study is more challenging than another person’s, when I have never done what it takes to get a degree in that field.

Back to the head in a brick wall. I’ll bow out again. I’m not here to argue, I’m here to get swole!!!

The exact same could be said in reverse about guys thinking it takes more heart to get lean.

Many of those guys have never done what it takes to build more muscle mass than they have.

Why is being leaner seen as a superior accomplishment and gaining more muscle isn’t?
Professor X wrote:

There’s a time and place for everything, and your 20s should be used to pack on LEAN muscle and get plenty of PUSSY.

Plenty of time to be fat, lonely and grumpy.

What’s cool is that I get action in my 30’s because I spent my 20’s going to school so I could get a good job so I could afford to take out the women attached to that pussy.

There are some of us here for the same thing.
Just wade through the BS and respond to those of us who are here for discussion, helping ourselves and others

^It’s not. For example, I’m not even close to being lean. I’m not fat, but surely not “lean”. So, don’t think that I’m biased and just trying to argue. Really, all it seems to be is that you come off as thinking that, just because you built muscle, people “owe” you respect. That’s not how it works. Nobody is going to care if you are the biggest guy out there if you continually argue with everyone.

Character breeds respect, not size. All these other guys like SS above are probably just tired of how you seem to act like you deserve something for getting big. I do agree, though, that the argument can go both ways, which is what I said in my earlier post: it seems like everyone is arguing semantics at this point.
As a side note, when you say things like, “Many of those guys have never done what it takes to build more muscle mass than they have”, you know how it sounds.

You pride yourself on being a learned individual, so act like one. You have to realize when you make comments like that it’s obvious that you’re hinting that you don’t think the muscle they have built is respectable. It’s just kind of ignorant. Same way you get upset when they make little comments that make it seem like they think you are fat. Not cool either way.

Btw, my comment is in response to X.

WTF? I don’t think anyone “owes” me respect for no reason…but if the damn subject is how to build really big muscles, the guys who did that should be the ones looked at as having accomplished something.

here, you are blind if you don’t see people acting like getting lean somehow puts you above others and trumps more muscle mass.

With that logic, then claiming I never got lean is hinting that my development is not respectable.

I just dont get how he has the engery to argue with all of us at once? Hell I can only manage an hour or two of banter a day, but he seems to have the time and energy to do this 50,000 times.

@X-I have stated that I’m not taking sides. No need to keep trying to argue with me. I’m just giving my opinion on things. Anyways, I do agree that there are some on here that seem to think getting lean is more impressive than building size. However, I am not one of them. I think it should be like this:

Bigger=Stronger=Leaner. No goal is better than the rest. This isn’t the BIGGER stronger leaner forum. Or, the bigger stronger LEANER forum. Guys need to stop trying to elevate their goals above others’. In regards to your comment about how guys who have built muscle should be looked at as having accomplished something, you need to understand something.

It doesn’t seem like most of these guys want you help. In fact, they seem to be doing just fine on their own. Many of the posters here have impressive physiques. Just because you don’t agree, doesn’t make it not so. Sometimes, it just seems like you come in here assuming everyone wants and needs to hear you opinion on things, especially how to “get huge muscles”.

However, they seem to have made it clear that they don’t value your opinion all that much. I’m not saying that you don’t deserve to post. Of course you have that right. Just don’t be surprised when people aren’t buying what you are selling. You just need to quit seeing yourself as the bringer of truth concerning all things about how to get big in these threads. It doesn’t fly.

It doesn’t take more heart to eat big and lift. Those things are actually very enjoyable and require a big effort. However, they do NOT require ONGING discomfort. Sure it might feel a bit unpleasant at times to push big weights, but it’s nothing like near-constant hunger, disturbed sleep, fatigue, and willingness to turn food away, and at the extreme competitive level, weird shit like pain in the feet because of such low bodyfat.

Uh, yeah…it just sooo easy to do that non-stop for decades on end without taking long breaks.

Oh wait…it isn’t…because without outstanding dedication, most people won’t even stay in the gym that long to get that big.

I don’t clam to be any leaner than I am.

I don’t care about being leaner to just impress you or anyone else.

In my opinion, it takes way more heart and work to build all of that muscle.

It takes a few months to diet if that is your goal.

Not all of us care to be as lean as you want to be.
If you have never gotten lean and never truly dieted down to single digits how are you able to compare anything to it? It is like me saying it isnt all the hard to get to 250+. I have never done it so I cant comment on it.
Wow…it’s a good thing I do’t have to get to single digits to look good.

Not sure why I would be held to a goal I do not have.

I just found it funny how you said that as if callipers are dead on, so you “took the guess work out”. And I don’t agree that you are 15%. And all the people here that disagree aren’t acting like you have no muscle or are obese. Just not as lean as you think. So when someone compliments you on your size, please don’t say something like, " good post, some here seem to think you need to be contest lean to see the huge amount of muscle I’ve built" OT “some here seem to think I’m too obese for all the muscle I’ve built to count”

You have a lot of muscle. That’s not the debate. The fat you carry is
I haven’t even posted a recent shirtless picture so anyone acting like they know what my BF is exactly without that is full of shit.

Why didn’t you call them out?

It doesn’t take more heart to eat big and lift. Those things are actually very enjoyable and require a big effort. However, they do NOT require ONGING discomfort. Sure it might feel a bit unpleasant at times to push big weights, but it’s nothing like near-constant hunger, disturbed sleep, fatigue, and willingness to turn food away, and at the extreme competitive level, weird shit like pain in the feet because of such low bodyfat.

I have a girlfriend who is on contest prep and about 8 weeks out… And I hear people complain about PMS?
