Thank you for finally answering a question.
Oh, I see you accidentally missed the rest.
Here, let me add that for you. Must have been a mistake.
Everyone shouldn’t feel welcome to speak on the same level if they do not even train regularly…which does happen here often. We have seen it before where some don’t even train at all but love posting what they read as if they do.
I did not miss the rest. You feel that less developed (pure size of only a few muscles right?
should not be allowed to speak about bodybuilding and should not feel welcome here
Which = not everyone should feel welcome here.
It is quite simple.
Let’s play.
If you were focused in the gym…how much time would you waste talking to the guy who isn’t even dressed to train but comes in everyday to sit on the leg extension machine and drink coffee?
Would he feel “welcome” speaking to you while you trained?
I don’t know about you, but my guess is, someone like that would not feel “welcome” around me while I was focused on the gym.
It would be different if simply walking past someone on the street.
So why not just put all those people on ignore that you think aren’t qualified to speak and move on? You said you were putting me on ignore a while back and somehow still haven’t got around to doing it.
I honestly don’t get it.
He literally has his own forum in the T-Cell.
He (and one other guy, I believe) have the keys to the gate to let in others or reject them, as HE sees fit.
Why not just stay there with the people he deems worthy of speaking to him?
(I won’t bother asking why that forum seems to have died…)
This is a dang good point Chushin. You would think someone with an elitist attitude would stick to the forum where he can control who gets to be a member.
But sadly the T-Cell doesn’t generate enough views to satisfy PX’s ego.
I don’t quite know where to find like minded camaraderie. I believe everyone SHOULD be able to rub elbows with those who take training seriously and don’t go to bed on pot-pies. I think side of the dedicated trainer vs the PF crowd is dwindling due to the fact actual commitment comes with the price of pain and labour. I don’t label what I do anything --really. Of course its bodybuilding but we tend to get caught up in so much diatribe that the origins of what we do get lost in translation.
Ill work out with anybody that can keep up with me or surpass me.
I do not condone long term convos; I lost the pump spotting a guy on the flat bench one time, and he held me hostage as he bitched, and bitched about not being strong as he use to be, ect,ect. That being said, I tried to give him non-verbal clues to insinuate the importance of me getting back to work, however, it never occurred to him I was really interested in finishing my sets,I lat (get it, lat) him finish.
Unfortunately, there is no easy way to disengage an idle conversation about nothingness without coming off as a stereotypical meathead.
So in essence, I wound up sabotaging my routine due to entertaining a gymgoer that doesn’t understand the importance of staying hot in between sets.
Whenever I see a another serious trainer (far & few in San Antonio), Im motivated indirectly from them. Its competition, much like the stage but there shouldn’t be animosity. It should be fun. Even hotly debated competition of guys goin toe to toe still hung after the comp no matter the winner.
There is a caste system in the fitness world.
Bber think PL are pancakes and Cheeto eating MFers;
PLs think BBers are airbrushed G4P faggots;
CrossXItters think they know it all (;-));
Physique class thinks all heavyweight Bber drink Deca and Slin by the pint;
Bbers think Physique guys spend way to much time doing abs.
I personal don’t care who’s in the gym with me as long as they’re not interfering with my passion.
If a skinny MFers in a Ed Hardy shirt came up to me and say I wanna train with you and I won’t burn your eardrum, Im more than cool with that!

What these people think is often true. ![]()
So, I’ve been reading along through this thread. I don’t really have anything to add. Just wanted to let you guys know that there’s a guy in RMP that’s 5’11" and 315 pounds. The guy is a tank. Just figured you all could swing over and check it out if you wanted a break from all this. That is the point of this site, right? To discuss building muscle and not argue?
It’s the internet, it’ll almost never be as civil as real life interactions.
BUT when people from the interwebz start to meet each other in person (Like the original facebook BOI has over the years), that helps to change it. Helps keep you grounded in the reality of other people’s lives, when you’ve actually met a good deal of them in person, trained with them, etc. For this reason, I think making a point to meet up with your internet pals from time to time is an awesome idea, not to mention it’s just cool to put faces and personalities with screen names.
I completely agree. I think it would be quite the learning experience to get to hang around some of the guys on here, such as Stu, Zraw, SS, Utah, etc. I have been a lurker on here for a few years now and have come to really respect a number of the posters on this site, whether it be for their drive, training methodology, sense of humor, or what have you. H4M, you are quite impressive yourself. Kudos for all the progress you’ve made.

Everyone knows if you had to pick only one TNation memeber to meet IRL it would be DN.

I eat both pancakes and Cheetos, but saying that I eat them together is a flat out fucking LIE!

Well i might have grown another inch or so in height, but i was talking about wrist/ankle circumference…and the fact that the scale only started moving in my early 30s when i started training.

I’ve met a few members from this site and guys like pushharder are pretty much the same on here as they are in real life.
The difference is, you can’t “assume” someone’s tone in real life the way you can over the internet…so someone’s perspective is based on what they think they know of someone. I am sure he would say I respond in a similar fashion…as he has met me face to face.
I think what is missing in these forums that are this popular is just the basic social hierarchy you would see in real life. It is politically incorrect to mention it over the internet.
In general, there is no way someone like push, savagenation, steely, me and you would see each other in the gym training and not feel some sort of camaraderie even if we didn’t waste time speaking a lot.

First, this isn’t about finding people “worthy of speaking to me”. That doesn’t even make sense based on what I’ve posted here since I often speak the most to the newer trainers in my gym.
Stu also is a mod in the T-Cell so why not tell him to stay there also?
This thread is about what is stated in the OP.
If you don’t like the thread topics, why post in the thread just to tell all of us you don’t like it?
Why not just ignore it?
