My money’s on Yang. Good jump though.

Isn’t it scary throwing your legs forward like that. You’d faceplant if you missed it.[/quote]
Do you suggest that he throw his legs backward?
Pylo jumps really do work. Although you need to test for a true vertical (ie no steps)
How high can you jump without a running start?
Being 6 feet, you can dunk right?

Throw my name into the mix. I’ll try and post a vid of my jumping on the roof of a ford explorer. I’ll take 'em both.

What about SquatDr? He’s got a 46.5’ standing vert.
Well, another myth blown to hell. White men can jump. Nice job.

I’ve seen his vids. I believe that’s off the run. Either way he’s got me, I’m at a 41.5" off the run. I’ll try and post the vid this weekend [i gotta get ahold of it].
What was your vert before you started training?

I’d believe it. I saw one vid where he gets his head damn near a rim. At 5’9" that’s 51". That’s bananas.

Hell, I am 5’9 maybe 5’9.5 and I can easily grab or dunk a small ball(softball) at a 10 ft rim off 1 step.
The highest I ever tested on a true vert test was 32 inches.
But you still have to take into account the reach of a person not just their height. I would guess my arm is @ 2 feet long. So to find the actual distance you would have to subtract the height of an extended hand from the height of the rim.
So a person who is 5’9 would really only have to jump 27 inches to touch the rim if their arm was near 24 inches long.
Make sense? I want to see this Explorer video though.
My computer is running like shit right now. I hope i’m not double postng my comments but I did check out SquatDr’s picture and videos. He can almost bite the rim off the run and the one picture of him and the rim has his armpit almost even with the rim. So that mofo has ups.
what type of plyos are you doing?

Yang is not human. He is some king of tigger.
He is also batshit insane. I would love to train with that kid.
Good luck though.
Ford explorer. post that shit for my voyeur pleasure.

I wanted to get a response to this.
Took me a while to get my camera though.
Whiteflash, where’s that vid at?

Umm, I don’t know. I guess that is impressive. That is 4.4 ft.
I just started doing pylos again the past month or so and I do 3 x 10 at 48 inches - no steps, no running. Just 2 feet on the ground and jumping landing with 2 feet on pylo.
I am sure that is better than the majority of the population but you still have to take into account that you are lifting your knees and feet.
I am more impressed by a true vertical where you measure the distance between you normal extended arm and the height you can reach jumping (1 step).
There is still something to be said about your jump. It does show explosive characteristics. Keep it up.
How high can you fly?

Ummm… 63" is 5.25ft actually.
I can touch my head to 9’2" or so from the stand and 9’6" or so from an approach and I am 6’3" with shoes on. At a combine-style test my standing vertical was measured at 38" but that’s obviously inflated.
My best box jump with no approach is 57", so technically I have Guadango beat, but I am also a bit taller than him and have longer legs so that gives me a bit of an advantage.
