Pendlay Row (basically a strict row with the back strait and almost perpendicular to the ground): 235
Suspended Chain Push-Ups: 8 deep, clean reps with 50 lbs added on.
Overhead Press: 60 lb DB’s x 6 done one arm at a time (standing). I work out alone and don’t have the space, skill, or floor to ditch a barbell from overhead, so I don’t feel comfortable doing heavy barbell presses anymore.
At wrestling camp we had this fitness test sort of thing and I did 6 chins (max reps) and 56 pushups in a minute.
Why do you want your back to be a thin river connecting two larger bodies of water? Is it where you put your boat when you’re doing the rowing mentioned above?

wait wait…didn’t you used to weigh very little and said you were going on a bulk and stuff and you bulked to this? No offence man, but you just gained tons of fat. Newb I usually see your points pretty good, but this as a bulk for 16 lol…it ain’t that good man lol. If your a wrestler and lifting and “bulking” you DEFINAETLY should not fucking look like that lol. I’m confused.
A year and a half ago I was 160 but I was considerably shorter and weaker too. At 189 I didn’t have this much fat even though I wasn’t ripped, the almost all the weight from 200ish on are fat from a “bulk” diet with a liberal training regime and no cardio. Admittedly, my beverages of choice were Coors or Heinken a few times a week, which usually followed a big meal out. Those two alone had nearly a day’s worth of calories.
After I get back from vacation in August I will change my diet to eliminate the soda, fries, etc. I think I’m going to weigh myself once when I get back then put my scale away, clean up my diet, start training hard and doing cardio and go by the mirror and take pictures to compare to each other to determine progress.

Can you please explain this without the metaphors?
I don’t want my back to be thin and I don’t think any part of my body is.
If you want legit ratings you need more angles and body parts
Ur arms look decent good thickness that seems to be predominantly muscle with little fat, good tricep thickness particularly
Your torso, however, is terrible. Its not that its just thick but looks to be flabby as well indicating a good deal of abdominal fat and not a whole lot of muscle. (Do you do any ab work?) Id think that would be important for wrestling
Ur chest is slightly flabby but besides the flab seems to be pretty underdeveloped especially when compared to ur arms

Yes, because you can totally tell how much he pulls without seeing his legs or back.
Hell, I can tell how much you squat simply by looking at your ears.
kombatathlete, you’ve gotta considerably change your ways man. I think you’ve gotten LAZY with your diet and perhaps training. Definately lazy with the diet. Get back into it man, you know you can look a hell of a lot better than that.

No more “Squat to get bigger arms”. Now it’s “Squat to get bigger ears”
Dude, you don’t look bad for 16. You remind me of this guy I wrestled with, looked a lot like you his freshman year, just a big guy. Started out pretty weak, now he’s actually ranked in the state and he’s still growing.
These are lifts I wish I had focused on when I had wrestled:
Front squats
Chin Up’s (weighted and non weighted)
Single leg lifts (these are great tests of heart to. Making it through heavy sets of these had my heart beating like I had just done log rolls.)
I really wish I had bombed these lifts for a while and went up a weight class rather than what I did: cut basically everything to the point where I was just too weak.
Whatever though, feel better now. I actually wrestled with a guy in a bjj class a few months ago and I felt much more explosive and powerful than I ever did when I wrestled. Conditioning wasn’t up to par though, haha.
I don’t do much direct ab work and don’t do any real chest work and I know it shows accordingly. Although I like being considered considered big muscle wise, strength and conditioning are more important than physique for my purposes. In wrestling the chest is almost never used, its almost all forearms, biceps, back, and legs (the wheels shot didn’t email right and I couldn’t get a good back one), so I train accordingly. I actually used to do bottoms-up Zercher Squats with 250 x 3 but I started to feel it too much in my forearms the next day. Most of the pressing I do is overhead work.
Thanks for the replies (some more than others).
I did get flat out lazy with my diet and training, after a long year of school I just felt like taking a break from everything and forced myself to be a little lazy. The hiatus hasn’t really ended…
But when I get back from vacation I am going to get back into training and good eating. If all goes according to plan, by the beginning of September I’ll have higher #'s lifting wise, be much better conditioned, and have a better physique to boot and will post then.

N3wb, he wasn’t even trying to deny that he basically just wasn’t giving a shit about getting fat.
“Liberal training regime”, “no cardio”, and assloads of beer does not = we should be proud that he’s not afraid of gaining some fat for added muscle and strength. It = he’s like a whole hell of a lot of other 16 year olds who just get fat because they’d rather drink beer, eat shit, and not train hard.
For every dumbass skinny kid who is afraid to eat there is a dumbass fat kid who just flat out doesn’t want to put in the effort necessary to not get fatter. Sometimes they use the term “bulk” as an excuse.
We need to remember that outside of this website there are more chubby kids than there are skinny kids nowadays.
Another thing, single leg squats are also a good way to strengthen your ability to stand on a single leg. The amount of stress on you can put on yourself with these will definitely help when you have to try to wizzer out of a single leg.
I dont understand exactly what you want rated…I would have used these as before pictures and posted in September when you expect to be “in good condition.” I dont know what you expected- not to get flamed? Put some hard work in and post again when you achieve a physique worth being rated

strait |str?t| noun (also straits) a narrow passage of water connecting two seas or two large areas of water : [in place names ] the Strait of Gibraltar.
KombatAthelete…do yourself some good man. Get your diet right, no more fucking around, train hard as fuck in wrestling, and go do some westside for skinny bastards or something. Get out there and do it man. peace

Usually people who don’t post their leg shots are afraid because their legs are usually shit. He chose to post a shot of his upper body which he I guess thought was good, but is not. So its not too far stretched to assume his legs and back are shit also.
i looked just like that when i was 16 before i started working out. i was about 5’10 200 pounds even. i lost 40 pound in 6 monthes and was a cut 160 although i probably lost alot of muscle i wasnt fat anymore. now i weigh 180 to 190 and very lean maybe 10% bodyfat. id think you would want to be lean for wrestling if your an overweight 210 fighting a cut-up 210 pounds of muscle your gonna be in a lot of trouble.

Really? Iv never posted a leg shot not because I am afraid or because I think my legs look like shit. Its because I dont feel like taking one.
Actually, the one thing I have noticed is that people who dont post any pictures talk a lot of shit sometimes but wont post pictures because they know they cant back it up.
