Yeah, I’m about 20lbs away from a double bodyweight olympic full squat, hams to calves, with no belt or any other support gear.

that’s my creation-

thanks for watching!

I’m not trying to talk shit, but other than the deadlift DW isn’t strong. His form did improve though.

Max, I never thought I would say this but good squat man.

I’m sick of people talking shit about that kid. He might be a dick, and his form’s not perfect, but again, neither is Steve Goggins’ or Benedikt Magnusson’s. Furthermore, the dude is strong as shit for his bodyweight, and always getting stronger. For that matter, I’m sick of all of the shittalking about form on this site.

I’ve seen only a few people with perfect form in my life, and only very rarely were they exceptionally strong.
Sounds like DW has a love interest.

That’s your opinion; however, I don’t see you doing olympic full squats, hams to calves, without a belt or knee wraps, with almost double bodyweight.

BTW, I strict press around 15lbs over my bodyweight and push press 45lbs more than BW. That’s weak too, I guess.

I do respect your progress, that’s for sure. But Whiteflash is kinda right, first of all your 20 pounds away from a double bodyweight squat. A 3 times bodyweight squat is considered strong in the strength world, a double is very common.

Take digitalair on this forum, he looks to be about your age, he’s not even training for strongman, and he’s lower body strength is way ahead of yours. He has posted a video oh himself doing nearly 3 times bodyweight box squat, and his form is usually textbook. Your best bet is to be humble and just continue gaining, your not strong enough to be cocky yet, in all seriousness.

check out the Paul Anderson video in the index for that link, what a machine.

Keep on trucking diesel, no one can say shit about your effort.

A box squat is usually much higher in terms of depth compared to an ATG olympic full squat. Plus, I use no support gear (i.e. belt, wraps, and suit) when I squat.

A double bodyweight raw olympic full squat is considered very respectable in most peoples’ eyes and I’m very close to that. I guess the T-Nation crowd are all champion powerlifters and gold medal olympic weightlifters.

Also, most people can’t even push press their bodyweight, let alone strict press it. I’m going to push press 225 over my head this year at a bodyweight of around 165. Oh wait, I forgot; that’s terrible too though.

DW, what do your 3 lifts look like now?

A box squat is sometimes just as difficult, if not more. Your intiating all the movement from a pause on the bottom, where in an olympic squat you get rebound from the bottom. A double bodyweight squat is still nothing amazing, even more so when your a light guy, dime a dozen. You haven’t done 225 yet tho… you’ve done 205 at 165, right? thats ok, nothing to brag about! Your deadlift is the only decent lift, and it looks so sloppy, it’s like you can’t straighten out those legs or something.

If one defines angry by “intolerant of ridiculous opinions and libelous statements spewed forth from the fingers of the intellectually and physically infirm”, then yes, I’m angry.

Furthermore, this is the first thread in which I’ve seen DW post, though I’ve seen innumerable threads talking shit about his form, and the form of others, who are almost invariably stronger than the posters denigrating their efforts.

Pussy? Well, I am what I eat. Ever notice how the word assassin has ass in it twice? Guess you are probably a little cock-eyed too…(not that there is anything wrong with that.)
Ah, who am I kidding… I do need to shut up and go work out. Grasshopper out.

Perhaps in the interest of not becoming one of those people who spew forth generalizations, you might do some research into what caused some members to be less than civil with Mr. Weasel.

You don’t watch much powerlifting, do you?

I was referring to gym lifters, but I could name a wide variety of strongmen and powerlifters with imperfect form.
lol…yeah like every fucking lifter in the WPO with their multi ply shirts and mile wide squat stance. Not to mention the fact they dont get tested for juice. The WPO has given powerlifting a bad name, take one of their poster boys Jeff Lewis…I mean like if you were a ref how the fuck would you know if he was under parallel, you’d probly need an x-ray machine or I suppose you could just wait till his bitch tits were on the ground.

At the end of the clip it brings up related videos both which of are:

Max’s Squat Training - 02/12/07
Max’s Push Training - 02/07/07

Thats pretty ironic

For someone so full of himself, you strike me as someone not sure of himself.

Why do you need people to say, “Max, you are strong”? Validation is, after all, what you seek in every one of your posts. When you do not get validation, you throw temper tantrums. Like a little boy or little girl… “Look at me! Look at how STRONG I am!”

If you know (or think) you’re strong, leave it at that. Stop trying to attract admirers and fans. You’re not nearly charismatic enough to develop a following.

Here is the thing:

 1. Noone has perfect form when performing a max lift (or, almost noone, some bastards do)… BUT they TRY to have as close to perfect form when training… starting off with terrible form is not the way to go if you want a long and healthy carreer as a powerlifter/strongman. I would (as I have said quite a few times before…) lower the weights just a tad, and focus on technique. But who am I to say, I have a 400 squat at 240 bw… :stuck_out_tongue:

 2. Being cocky and having an attitude won’t get you many friends DW, I know from experience… Most of the good guys on this site just want to help you improve. Let them… why else post vids?
