There will be more of them, theyll all be ages 15-17, and wearing lifting gloves.

Oh, I see what you did there.

I think it’s fine that’s Kroc is doing getting signed. Hardcore motherfucker if I ever saw one. Any place that truely is a real powerlifting gym won’t have to worry about a new wave of wanna-be’s, it’ll be fine for most of us.

Or have people question top level lifters because they paid a few entry fees and competed without meeting any qualifying standards. Maybe your sport and his sport are two different sports?

I am not trying to be harsh man, as I have read some of your posts and you seem genuine and happy for the guy. However, to imply that someone who as accomplished much more in your sport might be doing something very damaging to it is out of line, in my opinion.

Again, I am not trying be rude, and I love powerlifting because it allows everyone to compete whether against themselves or someone else, but not everyone that steps on the platform has an equal voice within the sport.

I’m pretty sure 99% of the people on this site who saw that didn’t get the hilarity of it.

Must be nice for Matt tho, a new sponsor and a new house.

Matt Kroc is one of my favorite powerlifters and one I often refer to for inspiration via his articles or interviews. He’s fought a lot and made plenty of wise decisions to get to where he is today. I’m sure he’s taken all variables into consideration and is making the right move. All the best to Matt.

Again, I started this thread to discuss and see peoples’ thoughts on it. I personally don’t like the company that sponsored him but I hope he made a good amount of money off of them. I mean if the company is going to rip off millions of people, at least the money can go to a good spot than in their hands!

I don’t think I ever said it was the downfall of powerlifting as you seem to think.

Haha… that video won’t be up long.

I’m surprised it’s still up. I give it about 2 more hours before they pull the video.

Matt giving his opinion of supplements - how the majority of garbage, the companies are just after money, food should be your main concern, and he only takes a post-workout shake which may not be necessary.

was that at TPS?

anyway, the more money that goes in the better. wouldnt you like to be able to make a living off of something you love and something youre going to do almost everyday anyway?

look at Moto-X theres a sport that got it’s foot in the door not too long ago and now theres people who can make a damn good living off of it.

It’s funny how he talks about people coming up to him and asking what supplements he takes. I have had that happen increasingly at the booty-n’-mirrors gym I go to. I usually just say I drink a gallon of whole fat milk per day- which is true.

I’m not sure what to make of these questions though. Is this a round about way of asking me if I know where to score drugs. Or are these guys still under the impression that glutamine and NOxplode are actually going to make a difference.

I don’t think Dave will pull a video because Kroc got a check. He didn’t name names, so it’s really pretty harmless.

You must not be familiar with the way MT does business…

I guess my line of thinking was that if his sponsor asked him to have it pulled, then they probably would do it for him.

Last time I checked, Kroc is getting like 4-6 hours of sleep a day and working long night shirts as a pharmacist.

Even if this sponsorship doesn’t bring a lot of attention to powerlifting, and all this helps out is Matt K, I think that would still be a good thing.

Then maybe he could afford to work a little less so he could sleep as much as an average human being. Then maybe we’d see him put up some even crazier numbers!
