Skipped the deads today. My wife wanted to go out for a quick dinner, and for some reason she doesn’t view my workout with the same reverence that I do.

You’d better show that lady who wears the pants in the house!

SFP - I got a beer out of it!
Was it a home brew?[/quote]
No, unfortunately.
It’s practically a crime, but I have 5 gallons sitting in a carboy in the basement that needs to be bottled. It may even have gone bad by now. And, I’ll be working all weekend AGAIN. Cripes, I’m getting tired of this sh*t!
Had to quit before the chins and dips, ‘cause I had friends comin’ over. Ended up “drinkin’ alone” for an hour waiting for them to show up. Having some trouble typing now, for some reason…
Since I try to lift every other day (I don’t take 2 days off for the weekend), I’m just going to count sessions: 12 sessions = cycle. Last time when I tried to do full body, I alternated sets of 5 and 3 for an exercise, but I pushed the sets of 3 heavier. This time, I’m going to keep them at the same weight so it will be sort of a “rest” for that exercise for that session, but I get the benefit of doing the exercise more often. Hopefully, this will allow me to stick with the full body sessions for the full cycle.
Nice work, Mathineer. Smooth, strong and consistent, like a good beer.
I had a couple of beers the other night. Given how infrequently I indulge, I prefer to be alone or just with the wife. So I can savor it. It really is hard to beat a good beer.

Next time I go visit my brother, in Illinois, I might have to make a slight detour and take you up on that…
I brewed for 7-8 years until I started traveling too much. Was doing 10 gallon all grain batches. Had a sweet setup that has since been sold - oh well. There’s lots of good beer on the market these days and Colorado has some really good micro-breweries around so I not hurtin’ too bad…
Nice work mathineer… I had to youtube the Pendlay Rows, as I had never noticed them before. Am I accurate in thinking they are much like bent over rows, but with the torso nearly, or actually, parallel to the ground?
Never homebrewed…obviously. My favorite beer is actually Grolsch. But I can’t get it in OK!! Something about them not stating, on the label, that the alcohol is above 3.2. Sometimes I hate this state! Shiner is about the best I can do around here.
Dog - I had to work this weekend, and still didn’t get the beer bottled.
I also do 10 gal. all grain batches. About the same work as a 5 gal batch, but twice the beer!
LS - As I understand it, with the Pendlay’s you want to get your torso nearly perpendicular to the local gravity vector, and row the bar up to the same place you touch on the bench in a fast pull. You replace the bar on the floor each time, so you start from dead still with no stretch reflex. You also squeeze your shoulder blades together at the top. This is the instruction I use
