In John Berardi Massive Eating plan, he says the carb intake needs to be post workout
A typical day would be 8 meals
P+f
P+f
P+f
P+f
P+C (peri workout)
P+C (post workout shake)
P+C (one hour after workout meal)
P+C
My question is, if anyone can answer, when are the carb intake to be taken during off days?
In his article, he mention always eating the same thing so i can only assume the carb intake needs to be the same during workout days and off days
Massive eating is sort of antiquated. I would read Precision Nutrition instead, it’s his newest and greatest material thus far. The whole meal combo thing is done, and he prefers that you really not worry about macros too much, just getting the calories in however you need to with smart food choices. So on off days, eat the same thing, sans PWO drink (that alone will shave 100g carbs).
massive eating is based on a 30/40/30 ratio if I remember correctly, johnberardi.com has some of the old articles posted here on T-Nation.
your 400g protein and 220 carbs and 180 fats is nowhere near the above Berardi ratio. If your ratio is what works for you thats fine, but I wouldnt necessarily call it massive eating. What you are using is from an article called appetite for construction which is still available on this website, use the search function. It will explain P&C, P&F
For someone who works out in the evening you have a different schedule. The one you posted above is not completely correct. Read the articles, and check out the older website.

from what I understood, these ratios were for calories intake ?.. maybe I’m wrong…?
My suggestion for off days would simply to front load your P+C meals early in the day. So if you actually ingest any carbs, you’ll have a better chance of using 'em up as the days goes on (or you could just keep your ‘off’ days to a pure p+f approach and probably tighten up a little quicker).

Thanks for the answer !!!
Doing a pure P+F on off days would be more like carb cycling tough, right?
