zRaw or anybody who can explain the HIIT he has Marzouk doing that would be great, he says

" HIIT ON BIKE 2x/week : I want 6 sprints of 30secs with active rest between your sprints… should total about 30mins. I’m starting you with only this for cardio "

So does that mean only doing essentially a sprint for 30seconds every 5minutes? Isn’t that like a long ass time inbetween sprints? Isn’t it for HIIT its usually 1-3minutes that people do?
Seems appropriate if it’s balls out.
This

Maybe it wasnt clear but I dont want him to go “fast” i want him to go as fast as he can for those 30secs

Sounds good I am going to have to do that as well. If I go “balls out” I would crap out a lot sooner than this way… But at the same time this is much more effective then steady state cardio for 30 min…

That is exactly what I did.

I just wanted to say good luck to you, Marzouk.

I know how long you’ve been craving to get lean. Hope you achieve your dream.

It’s nice to have a full kettle of green tea in the evenings. Cool.

Zraw, whats your view on skimmed milk ? If it fits the macros of meal is it ok?

Not keen on the idea of eating 3 cups of cereal dry post workout. But if it needs to be done thats fine.

could you grind up the cereal and put it in a protein shake?

Well what you must ask yourself is : Is it in the food choices…

Regarding cereals post workout

 1. If you use kids cereals like frosted flakes or something it should be about 2 cups, not 3. I want you to have cereals with sugar in there. Not something “healthy”

 2. Use protein powder (vanilla is better for this but chocolate works too ive done both) + water… mix in shaker, and pour over cereals
zraw wrote:
Dont count the protein or carbs in nuts
Question…how come?

Wouldn’t this throw off the #'s? If you say 40g protein, 40g carbs, 10g fat = 410 cals. If he gets all of his protein and carbs, then eats nuts or peanut butter for the extra 10g fat, wouldnt that throw off everything? (more protein, carbs, and cals for the meal then you scheduled)

No problem, I thought youd say that. I only said 3 cups coz I went off cornflakes, il double check the macros on the cereal I get when I measure it out. Dont worry I’ll make sure that tye cereal I choose has an animal mascot lol!

Subbed.
Kick some but Marz.
Cool thread Zraw.

Btw guys, if you want more updates etc just let me know. Atm I’m just getting on with it. Hitting cals, drinking water and training hard. Doesnt really feel like a diet because I’m never hungry.

The small meals keep me satiated until the next 1 which is pretty good. Normally when I diet I go to low on the cals and space my meals too far apart, I get hungry and cheat. So I’m pretty happy so far.

Only thing is, my wife might divorce me if I say it doesnt fit my macros 1 more time! :stuck_out_tongue:

LOL mine was getting tired of hearing it to so she finally just said she would do it with me. I made her out a diet that was basically mine without the protein or pre/post workout shakes and she lost 6 lbs in the first week… I lost 3 and I was feeling good until I saw she doubled me!! LOL We are working on coming up with a prize for who drops the most weight but I know she will win because I am aiming and dropping mostly fat not just total pounds…
