Marzouk Making you LEANER and then BIGGER

Wouldn’t it also depend on how well he keeps his muscle mass during the cut?
If done right, and especially at a high bf %, muscle loss is very minimal. Most people have less muscle than they think and end up blaming it on a bad cut. I would only worry about muscle loss if you’re going from 8% bf to 4%. That’s when the real work happens.

marzouk will probably end up around 165 if he gets down to single digit bodyfat
Thanks for the reassurance guys! And thanks for dropping in Spidey!

Hopefully as i start getting into the lean territory i’ll start to look bigger.

As for you Walkway…

I have a feeling there is 2 things going on in ur head…

 1. You WANT me to be 165 for some self satisfaction that you are ‘bigger’ than me or have done ‘better’ than me.

 2. You want me to scare me into quitting as you think i have some fear or weighing very little. And again for some reason this will give you satisfaction that you are ‘better’ than me.

Either way i’m taking this to the end, no matter where i end up.

And i assure you that i will not be 165.

Peace.
I don’t need the satisfaction of being “better than you” lol… I only compete with myself. It’s not a level playing field anyways.

I don’t want you to quit.

I DO however want you to be realistic… and judging by your physique, and the things you have said in this thread and others (E.G. I wear XL shirts), you in fact, ARE afraid of weighing very little.

I am trying to brace you for the truth. it’s an inevitability… you WILL weigh very little… trust me. I started at 225 at 5’9 and was in MUCH better shape and FAR stronger than you when I started with Shelby, 410 floor press/585 deadlift/495 squat. I was also on cycle when I was dieting. and I weighed 160 at the lowest during my prep

dieting is THE most discouraging part of bodybuilding IMO, and you are being na¯ve by disagreeing with me

but dieting down to single body fat percentage will put you in a FAR better place to grow optimally, and you will be FAR healthier and likely won’t be hypertensive when you cycle again.
Yeah i see where you are coming from, but i don’t intend to get down to contest shape. And u r right about it not being a level playing field.

Hopefully like u said i will be in a much better place to cycle when i am leaned down. Glad u r on team marzouk.

if you’ve ever seen the documentary i want to look like that guy this kinda gives me some perspective.

He went from 235@ 5’8 to on stage at just under 160, having never worked out in his life until the start of filming. i think ti was around 9 months. I’m 3 inches taller than this guy and i have around 9 years worth of lifting on him. granted i should be much more advanced than i am.

I agree with you, but it might not be the best way support someone him at this stage. Sometimes being a bit delusional helps people keep doing the right things. He will have a tough time as it is.

At the end of the day dude you just can’t let it get to you.

I know for a fact 99% of this site will laugh at me because of my size and see me getting leaner as just being a skinny normal person, but just gotta think no matter where you are now, you will be better, bigger, stronger and leaner tomorrow.

Although I don’t agree with Walk’s method of delivery, his message is definitely spot on. I was about 190, and I knew I was fat, but I didn’t think I would have to drop more than 20lbs to have my abs popping out. I’m down to 168, and went from a 36 to 32.5" waist, and I still can’t see my abs. This is over a 4 month period too, so I know I’m not bleeding muscle.

It was a little disappointing and I would lie if I said I didn’t think “eff this sh!t”, but I’m staying the course

I’m watching this thread. It’s great!

Edit: Height of 5’11ish

I’d say more NPD

You just don’t fuck about. Your candour is refreshing, but the problem with reading it on a forum makes it hard to tell when you are trying to be cruel-to-be-kind or just cruel.

Anyone that has read enough of your posts can see that you just don’t mince your words. There’s no aggression or malice…

…unless someone says something stupid in an argument with you. Then you attack.

you are 6% according to calipers yes?

I doubt marzouk has more lean mass than you, but time will tell…

Meh, Walkway is actually doing Marzouk a favor in my opinion and it seems like he is generally being candid about it. Ra ra pep rally, you can do it, everyone’s a winner bullshit doesnt help people as much as a cynic or cold hard truth.

Willing to bet that walkway is doing more to motivate the big guy than anyone pissing on his forhead and calling it rain will.

Don’t worry i will. I just don’t think i’ve got 90lbs to lose…

let’s not forget that Marz has a 300lb+ bench and a 500lb+ dead.

not too many 165 guys doing that

I reckon you’ll look awesome at 190. Not contest ripped obviously, but still awesome.
