I agree.

He’s definitely a huge raincloud over the forum.
While I definitely think he’s a douche, he does keep things interesting.

I don’t see why others are so hot to have him banned, there have been plenty of other assholes on here over the years and they either leave on their own or are verbally beaten into submission. Truthfully I miss guys like Rainjack and TBG regardless whether they left on their own or not.
At least Rainjack and TBG showed some mature intelligence… and understood when to use humor.

HG (CargoCapable) reminds me of arguing with my little brother. Annoying as hell, contradictory, and tiresome.
But I bet you still talk to your brother.

RJ and TBG are old guys of course they can show flashes of mature intelligence. HG is like a teenager that doesn’t know enough to realize he’s a douche. Not defending him, but we could be doing a disservice to society by not continuously pointing out his doucheness.

I did and yes you can change but it takes a conscious effort.

It is odd in the North how segregated we are generally. I grew up in the suburbs of Detroit and yet there were only three African Americans in my highschool. Sure it is getting better but it still saddens me it is not more diverse in the rural area I live.
Can I move next door to you plz?

You can get rid of CargoCapable in any thread by just mentioning that he is HoustonGuy…it’s kind of like Superman’s enemy, Mister Mxyzptlk.

Just try it!

Actually, no. I haven’t spoken to my brother in 6 years. He’s such a douche that he cut me, my wife, and my son out of his life several years ago because somehow we didn’t live up to his expectations.

I agree with your last point.

Is your brother a redhead perchance?

I have a redheaded brother that I kid you not, one time when we were arguing, I pointed out how much he loves to argue…I said that even if I said something you couldn’t argue with he’d do it…like the sky is blue…he said, I’m not kidding: “Not at night!”

FFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!

I am sorry to hear that. I only talk to my brother on a very superficial level because our world views are so different and honesty is not his most apparent virtue. Still I love him dearly and miss that we can’t spend more time together (different states).

It really sucks when this happens with families, I have several close relatives that don’t talk because of stupid immature shit.

LOL!

No, not a redhead. But otherwise he’s just like your brother.

Also:

Argumentative
Will cheat to win
Lies frequently
Openly racist
Braggart
Never asks “please” nor says “thanks”
Thinks he’s God’s gift to women

You can pick your friends but cant pick your family.

I also hate to hear that ID, I am sure it was rough a few years ago dealing with that.

My brother and I do not share world views either. But it had never been an issue. He just thinks he’s right all the time, and his decision to cut me out of his life was surprising. My wife was hurt and heartbroken - especially considering everything we’ve done for him. I let it go and moved on. Life’s too short to focus on the negative, and to try to make everyone happy.

Having 2 older brothers, I sympathize with you and the rest of the guys in this thread. Being the baby in the family, I often wonder how those who came before me somehow haven’t realized things that I did years ago. Like talking about politics when we all have hugely differing views, is like playing with fire at a bomb factory. It’s stupid that things like that have drove a wedge between members of the entire family. Sounds like it’s more the rule than the exception these days.

Anywho, sorry to hear that ID. I can appreciate what you had to go through.

The racist bastard probably had an egg white omelette with white onions and mozzarella, vanilla yogurt, cottage cheese, and milk to drink.

Same with Testy on this one. I grew up quite racist. I was one of two white boys in my grade all throughout both middle and high school. A day didnt go by without some type of confrontation. It ranged from basic racial remarks to having barrel shoved in the side of my head. That hatred went away after high school. When a person realizes that ignorance comes in all races, financial backgrounds, and regions, they learn to lose that cold feeling and disdain. I also realized that south Texas isnt for me. Derek knows what Im talking about.

Mark Wahlberg has three nipples. He’s practically a Bond villain.

Sadly I do, I was lucky in that I had parents that did not raise me in a racist environment.

I grew up in a racist environment. My grandmother was the worst offender. I just never understood it, even at a young age.

Everyone is racist… Its human nature. Its what we focus on that’s important. And that we don’t use our differences to divide us but bring us together.
