anymore info bout this? ive been looking at getting one and want to check out some reviews first.
Does this thing perform better than say an “X-Band” press with a light band? It looks cool but I need one that gives me about 100# carryover…lol
I just got mine, its awesome. Its kind of like wearing a really lose shirt, you dont get any support on your arms but it makes you engage your back and takes alot of stress off my shoulders.
When measuring what slingshot to get using our biceps, is this flexed or unflexed?
Hehe, you americans just love hype, don’t you.
I’m gonna stick with old fashioned barbell work till I quit. ![]()
Or perhaps I should invent some cool snake oil gadget I could market to you stupid americans. ![]()

fixed
…and Mark Bell, Stan Efferding, AJ Roberts, Matt Kroc, etc., etc.(who have all used the slingshot before) will still be out-lifting you by an incredibly wide margin.

They have a picture on their website of where the measurement needs to be taken.

Well CC i’m not colin, but i got to try a friends SS out about 2months ago, and the first time i used it i was able to do 40lbs more than i can bench raw. I then bought one for myself. It does help with the joints and shoulder discomfort that can potentially come from benching heavy. It can certainly add at least 10% to your bench.
I got about 70 pounds out of it but I think more importantly was the heavy reps it allowed me to do. I was getting sets of 10 with 315 which I have never been able to do with zero pain. My lifting partner got about 50 pounds out of it but he can bench a whole of allot more than me anyway!
I got one 2 months ago and have used it for several speed bench workout. It is a very nice variation and much better than X’ing a light band across your shoulders, for the person that asked. It does add pounds to your bench but the best part about it is how hard it enforces good form. You have to stay tight as shit, scapulas retacted, to keep your arms from coming in. I’ve been running some experiments on myslef and I think doing some speed sets with submax weights with the slingshot can yeild the same speed if you take it off for your final sets. Which would mean instant and drastic improvements in ability to store and use kinetic energy. I may have access to a tendo unit meter soon and this is one of several subjects I plan to explore.
