Marijuana and Lifting

What are peoples experiences with this? Ok in moderation? Not ok? I’ve read some enjoy cardio under the influence as it goes by faster and you actually run farther and harder. How far is to far by those who have been down that path? And just looking for an open discussion for drugs and the effects on lifting in general.

Yeah I have a “friend” who used to do it a lot…The con is even though THC isn’t harmful you have to put into account the smoke you’re taking in is carcinogenic thus for harmful to the lungs over the long haul. Yes vaporizing is a better option. Eating is a much better one.

So…yeah Arnold toked a little before and after lifting I believe. So If you could refrain from blazing mad amounts trees. I see no problem in hitting a spliff here or there. Yet I wouldn’t really hang out with pot heads. As most just want to blaze like everyday and then they’ll binge on crap. Digame con quien andas! Y te dire quien eres!

I have a friend who used to be a butterball, then he started tokin it up and going to the gym. His daily plans looked like this, Wake and bake, Eat, smoke, gym for a few hours, smoke, eat, smoke Xbox live, eat, smoke, sleep. He went from the fat guy, to the guy who could whoop your ass. It took him about 6 to 7 months to totally change the way he looked. I was blown away… not your typical pot head. P.s. make sure you are in the parking lot of they gym before you blaze up or you will get stuck on the couch on your way out the door.

I enjoy it best to smoke after a workout, before stretching, or for DOMS the next day as it both fights the pain and relaxes me.

I’ve been an everyday smoker for about two years, and it’s had an impact on exercising now in that my lungs are full of mucus. It definitely effects your health to smoke a lot of weed.

I bought a vapor genie pipe, it’s a butane lighter powered vaporizer, the size and shape of a normal pipe. http://www.vaporgenie.com/ If you want to toke and minimize lung effects I would highly, highly recommend it. It takes a day of devoted practice to get the method down, and you can use a torch lighter in the wind. I’m replacing all my smoking with it.

I’d like to go lifting on acid, when acid makes me feel pumped, I am so pumped my mind can ignite nuclear fusion, my hands can bend steel like butter, and I have enough energy to drag whole mountains across the face of the earth. I’m not really sure how one would go about testing it to compare but I’m willing to go for it once I get a little more time under my belt lifting.

i tried standing in line at a booster juice on acid one time. don’t think i would be throwing a couple hundred of pounds on my back in a well lit, busy, noisy environment on acid. nothing good could come of it.

Wow that is impressive, he actually does nothing for society. He lives off his parents? I really dont think this is a great example of the positive effects of smoking weed. I knew guys that would get stoned before we played b-ball. I gave it a shot and was a total mess. They didn’t miss a beat. I’d never even think of lifting weights stoned after that experience.

Moral of the story: Weed ain’t shit compared to acid and weed affects people differently. So the answer to the question is very very individual.

ok i like the replies so far, ive been smoking as of recently and not much 1-2 times a week more on vacations days, my main concern was lungs as far as long term use, but i was looking to get vaporizer in the near future if i find my use is continued. Chris the Great, does a regular vaporizer (not a pipe version) get rid of smoke and essentially make it basically fine for your lungs or is it just x times better than regular smoke?

i have a Vapor Bros. Vape. It’s pretty awesome. Just get the easy change whip kit, trying to poke that screen out is a bitch.

you’re inhaling water vapor basically. so as long as you don’t crank up the heat and burn the weed, it should be exponentially better for you.

another reason not to burn the weed is because it reeks like burnt popcorn.
