This may be a dumb question, but I just bought some maltodextrine, and I was wondering if a gram of maltodextrine = a gram of carbs?? Is it a direct relationship, or is there a conversion factor I should know about so I know how many carbs I’m getting. Thanks everyone.
if it is pure malto dextrin, it should be a 1:1 ratio, 1 gram of sugar= 1 gram of carbohydrate
Maltodextrine has some moist. So 50g of maltodextrine is not same as 50g of carbs. In every 100g of maltodextrine there is 1-3g of moist(water) and the rest are carbs.
