That’s Carter Beauford, who happens to be a good friend of Victor Wooten; a sick combination.

Fuck, I’d pay big money to see that that shit live[/quote]

They made a DVD together, according to Google it was called “Making Music With Carter Beauford and Victor Wooten.”

Layne Staley (I’m assuming you can pick the dead since its a dream band) if not then Suzi Gardner.
Jimmy Paige
John Bonham
Flea

(Metal sound)
Vocals: Randy Blythe
Guitars: Dime and Zakk
Bass: Adam Duce from Machine Head
Drums: Dave Lombardo

-OR-

(Classic Rock sound)
Vocals: Roger Daltrey
Guitars: SRV and Zakk
Bass: John Paul Jones
Drums: Keith Moon

-OR-

(Bluesier Metal sound)

A band without Zakk Wylde just doesn’t make any sense.

Here’s another funky one:

Bootsy Collins: Bass
Nile Rodgers: Guitar
Joe Bonamassa: Lead Guitar
Dennis Chambers: Drums
Doug Pinick: Vox (He’s a bassist, but also main vox for Kings X. Love his voice)

Ok Ill play…

From the Minutemen Mike Watt at Bass (One of the most underrated bands ever)
From Green Day Tre’ Cool at Drums (Greenday was a truly awesome band espescially live)
At guitar and vocals Hot Water Music’s Chuck Ragan
AT the other guitar of Living Colour fame Vernon Reid
AT vocals Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain

Whenever these guys are on Letterman the drummer always pulls some wacky stunt…I imagine you’re right.

Drums: Jimmy Chamberlain (Smashing Pumpkins)
Vocals/guitar: Simon Neil (Biffy Clyro)
Bass: Nate Mendel (Foo Fighters)
Guitar: Mike Einziger (Incubus)

Dennis Chambers and Bootsy Collins would be absolutely sick. This is a great band lineup.

Hey, ID, that’s a band I’d like to be in. Matt Cameron has a groove that I can play on top of. If I can get into the Zen with his dynamics, the backline could be a churnin’ urn of burning funk. ;^)

Thanks man. When I form my next band, I’m going for blues/funk groove all the way.

I waffled on who lead would be in this band, but Joe’s style fits nicely into ‘groove’ music versus some of the other blues guys (Blues Saraceno and Scott Henderson were other choices).

I imagine something like this, but with a little more punch. I can totally hear Pinnicks voice here. Chambers and Miller, but Bootsy would fall right in here.

He’s absolutely one of my favorite guitarists and very early influences like right there with Eddie VH.

Niles about 1:10.

Vox: Kurt Cobain
Guitar: Jack White
Bass: Christ Wolstenholme (off of Muse)
Drums: John Bonham

Good picks Bambi

vox: Jesse Leach
guitar: Dime
bass/back up vox: Peter Steele
drums: Neil Peart

Thanks for the information and the video. I’m thinking that metal may not be his style, but he’s so good that he’s going to fucking rock in any setting. He’s the reason I started playing bass, though I realise I’ll never be that good.

Nice call w/Neil Peart.

For a more grungy band:
Vocals - Kurt Cobain
Drums - William Goldsmith (from Foo Fighters)
Guitar - Kim Thayil (Soundgarden)
Bass - Jeff Ament(Pearl Jam)

Vox: Mikael Akerfeldt (opeth)
Guitars: Iommi, Dime
Bass: Ryan Martinie
Drums: Danny Carey

Burton C. Bell, Fear Factory -Vox
John Stainer, Helmet- Drums
Geezer Butler- Bass
Dime- Lead guitar
James Hetfield-Rhythm gutair

It all starts with a great rhythm section imho.

I’ll change my mind as soon as I click submit lol…accept for Dime.
