MAG-10 Surge Workout Fuel Question

When I start using the Surge/MAG-10 combo, will I need a creatine? I understand creatine supplementation is not required when on Anaconda. Does the same apply if I’m using the new version Surge in combination with MAG-10?

I wondering if I need to add creatine onto my next order.

If you want to use creatine, which is an optional thing, it isn’t included in MAG-10 or SWF and so indeed it would be added as a separate item.

There’s no creatine in Surge Workout Fuel or MAG-10, so you can supplement with Creatine monohydrate while using these products.

Really trying to simplify here. When using SWOF and MAG-10, what would you prefer for peri-workout nutrition, and why?

A)
-45 FINiBAR
-30 2 scoops SWOF
2 scoops MAG-10 taken immediately after working out
+60 Whey

or

B)
-45 FINiBAR
2 scoops SWOF/2 scoops MAG-10 sipped during workout
+60 Whey

Is it too simplified? I know there`s a million different questions about this topic, any response and suggestions appreciated.

I’d go with A except start drinking MAG-10 on your way into the gym. It’s worked well for me. I also take Alpha-GPC.

MAG-10 is really starting to grow on me, and I’m starting to grow on it.

Between those, I’d go with B, but modified by having some of the mixed drink 10-15 minutes before the workout.

What I usually do…

-90 Alpha-GPC
-30 2 FINiBARs
-20 drink 1/4 of Surge Workout Fuel/MAG-10 (2 scoops each, so 1600ml total)
-5 drink 1/4 of Surge Workout Fuel/MAG-10
-Finish the 1/2 left throughout lifting
+15 1-2 scoops of a whey conc/isolate mix.

Sounds like sipping the mixture throughout the workout is the favoured route. The only reason I was thinking of waiting till the end of the workout to down the MAG-10 was to take advantage of a big pulse in a protein depleted state, forcing hyperaminoacidemia when you’re in that post workout anabolic window. But rather I’m hearing that gradually sipping the CH throughout the course of an hour is really more preferred. I don’t really understand why but I’ll give it a go.

During the workout you want the aminos available to be used, not be in a depleted state.

Would it be beneficial to still use Surge Recovery as the post-workout drink in addition to the FINiBAR/SWF/MAG–10 combo?

I don’t see why not, there has been a lot of talk about pre and peri workout nutrition, but adding even more calories at the end of the workout definitely won’t be counterproductive to what was done before it. (Although what was done before it would be more effective)

However, a few people are having their protein shakes about 90 minutes after finishing working out, to allow serum AA levels to drop a bit and get rid of the rise in adrenaline so they can ‘pulse’ a second workout shake; this may be the optimal method when compared to having the same shake immediately after.

FWIW the absorption/tolerance of the Anaconda mixture is my favorite creatine ever. Been through a few months with Surge pre (sometimes during the workout as well) with Anaconda/Mag-10 post (excellent recovery), so consider either the creatine mono with Mag-10 or a scoop of Anaconda with Mag-10.

This is what I’m thinking about doing, minus the Alpha-GPC and FINiBARs (maybe the FINiBARs if budget allows). I’m trying to cut fat while still trying to maintain muscle and have intense training sessions to “earn my supps”
