Woke up at 7am yesterday and followed the schedule from the original article. Mixed the Power Drive and MAG-10 together for the first bottle. Second bottle with no Power Drive was unbearable in taste and I ended up skipping the last two pulses of the day and went to bed at 9pm. Either the smell of the MAG-10 and flavoring or the taste was going to make me puke if I tried one more pulse.
Woke up at 7am the next morning and weighed myself. My body weight went from 170 to 163lbs. Looking in the mirror I didn’t really see any huge changes around my body (should have taken pictures the day before). I did however notice my face looks slimmer. Anyone else notice that after a pulse fast?
Overall the not eating was not a problem at all. Throughout the day I had plenty of energy and felt really good. Alpha GPC taste like heaven! Too bad the serving is so small. I think I am definitely going to do another one next Tuesday, but I will not be using the intensified flavoring and hopefully that will help.

Do you not use any of the intensified liquid flavoring? I’ve never heard of anyone complaining about the flavor. It’s pretty darn tasty if you ask me
Yep I used it and I did not think it was tasty. It was especially powerful in the second bottle which had no Power Drive. Having to drink 3 pulses of it before, during, and after my neural charge workout was the hardest thing about yesterday and after that there was no way I could even smell the bottle again without feeling sick.
Doing CT’s HP MASS Squat and Deadlift soon in the AM, and then later today Push Press and a Chest circuit. I only have protein powder and Biotest BCAAs so I’ll be using those around my workouts.
Just weighed myself after today’s second workout. This morning I was 163 and now I’m back up to 169.5lbs. Is this normal? I didn’t really “go nuts” with eating a ton of food today. Any input is much appreciated.
Breakfast: Hard boiled eggs, Rice & Beans.
Mid Morning: Plain can of tuna (no mayo), Walnuts
Workout 1: Biotest BCAAs before, during, and after training, Protein shake
Lunch: Chicken breast, shredded cheese, two wheat wraps to make a Quesadilla

Does this work for fatties to cut fat? I did the V-diet for 2 weeks, I didn’t do the whole thing. Now after the holidays I have put on some weight. I need to drop as much fat as I can before March 27, I go on a cruise.
Most successful diets are going to require more than one day of fat loss to be successful. You could incorprate a pulse fast as part of it, maybe to kick start a diet, or to incorporate into diet weeks in order to mix things up.

I did the pulse fast and lost 4 pounds. I have put on one of those pounds. I haven’t done it again, but I am eating more and feeling leaner generally.
Going to try MAG-10 Pulse FAST. I didn’t get the Power Drive but ordered 2 MAG-10 and Alpha-GPC.
I’m 5’ 5" 195lb about 12%bdf. I 55yrs old I am and older lifter who has been training since 1980. I was a National NPC competitor in the 90’s. I was going to alternate the the Pulse fast 2 times one week and 1 time the next to see how it works or should i do it 2 times a week. I’m looking to get in the best shape of my life by my next BD in May. I did not get the Power Drive for BP reasons. Do I need the Power Drive?
I love this site And CT Training so much I incorporate it in my own training. I have been a lurker for years. I still have the Muscle Media 2000 mag when TC was the editor. Thought I’d jump in and post my results. Wanted to see if what CT thoughts are on this.

is 17 too young to pulse fast about once a week? and how would one incorporate other supps into their week(not counting fast days)?[/quote]
Well, to be honest, if you’re asking about how to use supps (in general) on a normal day, then you probably need to do some research on the basics before doing something outside of the norm like the pulse fast.
But, I don’t see why anyone couldn’t do this because of an age issue.
Also, just thought everyone would like to see this, this is what CT said in the pulse FEAST LiveSpill:
“From talking to Tim Patterson and Dr. Ziegenfuss who have the science behind my leg work, the two best strategies are 3 pulses of 3 scoops spaced 3 hours OR 4 pulses of 2 scoops spaced 2 hours. These are the BEST options… others will work, but not as well. For example I have a client who doesn’t have access to as much MAG-10 use 3-4 pulses of only 1 scoop. It works… he has lost a lot of fat and even added some strength. Not the BEST option, but it still works.”
I had asked a question about pulse timing for the fast, but I’m not sure if he thought I meant fast or feast . . . .

Yeah, just go back to your normal regimen on non-fast days like usual.

I guess what I’m trying to find out is I have High Blood pressure and wonder if the Power Drive has any thing in there that might raise my blood pressure or any thing that might affect it. That the only reason I did not get the Power Drive.
I’m going to chip in to relay my experience. I did the pulse fast every Monday for 7 weeks, the first couple of which I also did on a Thursday. Sometimes I tinkered and would have a standard casein shake instead of hydrolysed casein (CH) one before bed, otherwise it was CH. I also tinkered with dosage and timings. For example, yesterday, when I re-started the protocol after a lay-off, I only had 2 pulses all day (about 7 hours apart), each was a 12g serving of CH, and I can’t say I felt any different in terms of energy levels from when I have had 8 pulses.
I’m a lot more relaxed about this now after accepting the key ingredient here is CH (although I do also add leucine to my shakes). Studies do appear to show CH is a wonder product for athletes, etc, however there is less to support how it should be optimally used in terms of dosage and frequency. Evidence appears to show excess amino levels taper off after a few hours from first ingesting and cannot be simply ‘topped up’ by ingesting more CH.
So for me whether I get 50g or 150g CH in a pulse day is not going to make or break my progress.
I’m really interested in what the pulse fast can do I want to use the Pulse fast to bulk up and help lose a little fat at the same time. I’m a student so I only have enough money to run it for a month or 6 pulses if i get the extra MAG-10 would i see any good size gains with this over that period of time? I’m also thinkin about taking a Pro Hormone but saw this as a safer alternative?
Currently i’m on my second cycle of 5/3/1 would this program fit ok with the Pulse fast with regards to having enough energy?

and what kind of results did you see (strength/size/fat loss/ whatever)?

I didn’t attempt to accurately chart my progress through body comp testing, pix, etc, and instead relied on scale weight and the mirror.
I gained 2-3lbs over that period, which was deliberate as I wanted to gain a little mass, and introduced more carbs to my overall diet. Strength also went up slightly on most lifts.
