Have not fasted in a week and a half. Now am sick (sinus). At this point looks like I will be fasting again until after Thanksgiving (traveling).
So far have not seen any leaning out. Have maintained my same average weight. Seems like my strength is good, maybe increasing a little. Will post again once I get through Thanksgiving.

I’ve done this a handful of times now, with each fast getting progressively easier and me being noticeably leaner.
But my biggest like is how I feel. I felt unexpectedly awesome the first few times around. I’ve come to expect it and have likely grown accustomed to it, but the first experiences were pretty cool.
Anyway, that’s what I got. I’ve shied away from detailed tracking for now because I have a tendency to obsess, so forgive me for not having solid figures.[/quote]
how many is a handful of times and over what kind of time frame are we talking about here? (serious question. not asking to be a dick or anything cause it kinda sounds that way i think?)

Gosh, what a nasty attitude you have.
Nah, no worries, man. I started the week after it was released, basically averaging once a week at this point. I thought about twice a week, but haven’t gone farther than that so far.
At this point, with all of the holidays coming up, I’ll keep it around for the rare day that I don’t feel like dealing with food. (I did that once out of convenience.)
Like I mentioned, I was hesitant to post anything since I don’t have much in the way of solid data (ha, get it?), so thanks for reading anyway.
Monday had to be the easiest day yet. The worst thing about this protocol is the bad breath, which is normal with any IF. Apart from that, that’s as hard as it gets. I didn’t train Monday, as I’m having to take some time off due to a back injury.
Again I awoke this morning my body unawares it had been without food for 34 hours. I had a modest breakfast and didn’t eat again until almost 4pm. I ate a few larger meals at night. As other folks have experienced, I am also less anal about regular feeds every 2-3 hours.
For the past 3 weeks I have only fasted on the Monday. I will decide tomorrow night whether to do another fast this Thursday. With the training lay-off I don’t want to gain weight in the interim, but don’t want to overcompensate by over-dieting either. So I will play it by ear.
I only read about 1/4 of the livespill and 3-4 pages of this thread (so much text…), but it seems like most people were pretty disappointed with this? (and shelby…lol, just from what I saw in 2-3 posts).
At the moment, I have no particular diet, but I do have a consistent workout schedual. I have been seeing strength gains but my weight and body fat continue to go up. Would fasting with this twice a week help me in the fat burning area?
Also, for those of you who have done a few weeks of fasting, are you getting more cut or losing inches around the waist?

I’ve been quite happy with the results, waist is smaller and arms are bigger.

I’d say get your diet in check before you rely on this.
people who have done this protocol, do you find it better to train for hypertrophy on the pulse fast day and then carb up the next day. or do you find it better to train for hypertrophy the day after and load up on peri workout carbs?

Wouldn’t make much sense for Shelby to espouse a ‘new breakthrough’ in bodybuilding nutrition when he himself is a nutrition expert with his own philosophy.
I have done my first pulse fast - next will be this upcoming Monday. I will try it 3x, once a week, before giving my opinion. Lost 2lbs with no effect on strength so far.
really need some feedback and hope you can all help…Ive been doing the pulse fast very rigidly (mon/thu) for the past 3 weeks. Started it straight after completing the v-diet. I’ve made dramatic changes in all aspects plus my strength has gone through the roof but…this week Monday and Thursday around my 3-5th pulse I became violently ill, I mean spewing it all up with really bad stomach pain.
Im starting to think it is from the flavoring but cant be sure as the first 2 weeks pulsing were fine??
Any opinions or similar experiences would be very much appreciated.
cheers.

That’s not what I was saying about Shelby.
I’m still interested in what people have to report about their results, but even if it’s great I could never justify spending $40+ on one day of fasting (if one package really lasts for 3 fast days as I saw someone write)

From my post a couple of pages back (I think I based the calculations on the cost of separate products when buying 2+ of each, when buying the package the prices are pretty much the same + free bottle as far as I remember):
As for my results - due to a hectic couple of weeks I haven’t taken measurements or photos (and the only scale I trust is in Poland, as both my home scale here and the gym scale are useless), but I’m noticeably leaner all over, with my love handles (which have always been a problem for me) pretty much disappearing.
I’ve been pulsing once a week, with 4000 kcal (at 170-175lbs BW) on regular days and 4500-5000kcal on the post-pulse day (mostly from a finibar or two, and an extra scoop of PeptoPro (20g) and SWF, for a total of 2 Anaconda, 40g Peptopro, 3 SWF - a bit of an overkill, but I’ve been having great workouts on those day).

I’ve done the pulse fast once a week for the last 4 weeks. I perform a neural charge workout on the day of the pulse fast and eat big the day after with extra carbs. My workouts and nutrition on other days of the week has remained the same.
I am in a mass gain phase and have gone from 212 to 215 with a 3/4 inch drop in the waist. Strength continues to go up.
Another benefit of the pulse fast is I don’t need to spend anytime prepping, eating, or cleaning up after meals so on the day of the pulse fast I pack in as many errands as I can so I will have extra time the other days of the week.
Pulse fast fits in well with my goals and lifestyle.

My wife had the same experience the last two times she did the fast (she threw up). I have not had any problem with it.

Good to hear. Are those regained results? I don’t mean it as a put down but I feel like a few of the times I’ve read about your results I’ve later read that they were regained previously lost muscle size/strength.

The only time I regained lost size/strength was 2 years ago after knee surgery. Which you most likely read about in my “How do you train” thread.
The most I ever weighed before my current mass phase was 200lbs. I’ve spent most my time in the 175-185 range.
