MAG-10 Pulse Fast is Here

Well yesterday was my 6th and most likely last pulse fast. The results are good, I’ve eaten above maintenance and even pigged out on some not so great stuff on some days, and still leaned up a bit. I ran out of MAG-10 and honestly, I can’t afford to be buying it anymore. It’s not much more expensive than a regular day of eating, but I pay for my supps while my parents pay for food. My bank account can’t take the MAG-10 right now lol. But I’m trying to land an internship with a company that distributes electricity in my town so if that happens then I’ll be doing it in the future.

Scale weight dropped a solid 10 pounds over the few weeks of doing the fasts by the way. I did them once every 4-6 days for a total of 6 fasts.
Glad to hear you had such good results. Hoping for at least these same results. Starting 3rd fast today.

Sorry to hear that you have to stop. Are you sure your parents would not add this to your groceries for the month, if you could keep the overall cost the same? This is really different than supplements, since it replaces food on the fast day. And for the productivity boost on fast days due to no need for meals, if you can quantify it they might see value there as well.

Good luck with the internship!
I do ask them for help with supplements every now and then (just multi or whey) so I might try and ask for a 2 tub order in a while. I’m turning 21 in 3 weeks so I should be getting a little cash flow around then to help out

Thanks buddy

anyone in here have any before and after pictures? From what I’ve read… doesnt sound worth it at all. people losing 3-4 lbs… not that impressive considering you’re on a fast. You’re not eating anything, of course you’re going to lose weight lol.

I’m sure it has good effects but if it was working so great you’d think there would be AT LEAST ONE set of before and after pictures somewhere?

You could always try pepto pro and leucine, which is what I’ve been doing. Tastes great with some crystal light.

I’ve been taking weekly pics and have a new one up on my hub, and an arm shot in the 18 inch arm thread. Waist is down and arms are bigger since the RFL.

I did a highly bastardized pulse fast using NO-shotgun and no-synthesize because I had some left of both. Thanks to that, I dipped under 300 pounds which is a big milestone for me- I had been over 300 pounds for almost a year now and only recently decided to diet down. Yeah, it sucked because what I was taking was nothing like what the pulse-fast protocol calls for, but I am now really excited to be working and purchase the pulse fast package sometime soon.

Day 6

Again easy day. No cravings, rumbling stomach, lack of energy, etc. Did usual pull workout starting at 8.30pm. Usual intensity and performance. Quite amazing considering started workout after only ingesting around 400kcals since waking up. Don’t quite understand it but not complaining!

I saw your arm pic… lookin solid. But you’re already dieting so it’d be hard to tell if the weight was from your current diet/caloric deficit or if its from the Pulse Fast right?

I mean you were already dropping weight like crazy before this thing came out

Thanks and you’re right, I guess the only benefit is that I get to eat more on the non pulse fast days. I think the RFL is faster in terms of weight loss, but this seems easier mentally.

I think the key point is being missed by greg. Yes you’ve dropped weight, and were dropping weight already on the RFL, but that can not account for the GAIN in arm measurement while on a caloric deficit. You’re dieting, and putting on muscle, that’s where the magic lies.

Ah, chimera. since you’re dieting, how’s your eating on non-pulse fast days?

About 2500-3000 calories from chicken, ground beef, rice, tuna, avocados, shrimp, peanut butter, a workout shake and protein powder. I eat about 2000 of those calories around my workout, mostly right after.

Completed Fast #3 yesterday. Was pretty easy compared to the first one. All hunger this time seemed to be mental in that as long as I distracted myself I could forget about it.

Still have times during the day when I am extremely unmotivated when fasting. Hope that gets better, because I am not digging that.

Again, did not sleep well. Woke up 3 times. Felt more rested than the previous 2 fasts, but not great. Used ZMA again before bed. Thinking I will try adding some GABA next time addition to the ZMA and see if that helps. I know others have this same problem so interested if anyone else has solved the sleep aspect of the fast.

No permanent losses or gains at this point, but that is why I am planning 16 of these over 8 weeks. 13 more to go.

Today, not fasting, had a great workout…Deadlifts, chins, rear delt raises (DB), forearm work (with single ended dumbbell) and I finished with the bicep version of the “Experimental Arm Workout”. I use that every time I work Triceps or Biceps. It gives you one hell of a pump.

I used the ANACONDA Protocol for the first time for this workout, but forgot to take the Alpha-GPC before the workout. It is really interesting. Does not feel like my usual Arginine pre-workout mix, but it did keep me going strong start to finish. I am assuming the real benefit is in the recovery…so we’ll see.

Well, I have some whey hydrolysate and was thinking I could do the fast with that. I still have some Power Drive and Alpha-GPC so they WH would be the only substitute for CH. What do you guys think? I’m thinking it would still be good, WH is still very fast absorbing, and I would still be consuming the same amount of calories for the day.

I did my "test fast’ that way, before buying the real stuff. I would do it. If you have any Leucine or BCAAs to add, it might help.

i agree w/ the BCAA/leucine addition. when i was running low on MAG-10 i would use half a scoop MAG-10 and fill the rest of the scoop with BCAA’s. only did 6 or 7 pulses that day and by the next morning i was in keto

I just finished my third Fast yesterday.

All three times was just 8 pulses MAG-10 with out Alpha-GPC and Power Drive.

Seems to bring me back to my “set point” so to speak.

After every pulse without fail I’ve returned to 230lbs. today was 230.5 but that could be half a piss or whatever.

Throughout this month I’ve gotten stronger, while remaining at the same weight - so less sloppy overall.

Do I look and feel leaner? No, but stronger at the same weight. I’ll take it.

3360 cals/day. 350g pro, rest fat and around 90g carbs.

On WOD I take in the full ANACONDA protcol, and usually no added carbs after that. So I’m around 4100 cals on training days.

Generally on the day after a pulse I’ll train twice (try to) and eat around 300g carbs.
