MAG-10 Pulse Fast is Here

I just finished my second pulse fast day. It’s tough for me, I got really hungry at night both days and was really tired. But I have noticed a sense of euphoria almost the next day once I start hammering the food. I ate about twice as much as I normally eat the following day and felt great, no bloat. I am losing fat pretty quick, my wife noticed that I am looking alot more cut.

So yeah, it works, it’s tough, especially working long hours during the fast day. But I say it’s worth it. We need more personal experiences in here. I will update after the next fast day.

A lot of us testers had that issue. Taking a wee bit of psyllium husk with your last pulse (between 5 and 10 grams) really helps fight the hunger, as does taking your last pulse right before bed.

I feel ya though, I would wake up from mine and be HUNGRY!

Just got my package today (a day early from the promised delivery date).

The Nalgene bottle is actually pretty cool. It doesn’t leak which is key if imma bring it to the gym. The flavoring comes in small bottles same size as the Alpha-GPC. I got the Berry and the Orange.

Fasting tomorrow 10/27. Going to be a tough day. Lots of business meetings and I’ll add a workout late in the day. Will try to post updates during the day since this is my first one with the real ingredients. And of course, will post a summary afterward.

Ahhhh but what leads to that? Glucose entering the beta cells. They have glucose transporters for a reason. Frankly I have no idea how amino acids do it though.

PEDANTRY actually.
Haha aren’t you special.

They’re both words!

I had been following this thread when it came out, wanted to see how everyone’s results were coming. Is the main goal of the protocol fat loss, or is it designed to increase strength also?

Damn Andy, level five that’s epic.

I’m also very interested to see the results of people who used SR, or cheaper variations of the fasting method.

Thanks,

JB, How much leucine, and how much citrulline malate?
Approximately 2-3g leucine and the same CM per pulse.

I finished Day 3 on Monday and it was the weirdest one yet. I was busy with work and the concentration involved led to a bit of a headache and fatigue mid-afternoon. However on the train home around 5pm I snoozed for 15mins and felt so much better that by 8pm I was in the mood for a workout. I’m not doing neural workouts on off-days so instead lightly hit traps, rear delts, rotator cuff, as well as some light leg work (my legs were still a bit sore from a previous session) and some remedial stuff.

The intensity was low but I did feel energetic and believe I could do a heavier session in this condition.
In addition I was at no point hungry or generally miserable. Although even the flavoured Peptopro is rancid and I loathe every pulse for taste alone.

Following a terrible sleep after Day 1, I took ZMA last thing on Day 2 and last night before bed. Like Day 2, I slept like a log and felt really rested.

Again, the weird thing was when I woke up this morning I still wasn’t hungry and ended up running late. This meant I had to do with a few scoops of protein. I actually had to remind myself to eat more, especially carbs, throughout the day. Tonight I had an excellent chest session in the gym, so no lack of progress there.
I plan to go for Day 4 on Thursday and keep the experiment running.

Hey quick question if your pulsing on a non workout day you would only use 3 scoops of MAG-10 in the second bottle correct?

I did my first pulse fast yesterday. Starting weight was 202 at 5’9. I wieghed in this morning at 196 and that was AFTER I worked out and had taken in some food and water. Obviously mostly water wieght but still pretty damn impressive.

The pulse wasn’t nearly as bad as I was expecting from a hunger standpoint. I had a few rumbles from the stomach as I was laying in bed last night with the wife but throughout the day I really didnt feel too bad at all.

Started the fast today. Nothing to eat after about 8:30 last night. Had black coffee at 6:00, first pulse at 7:00. Starting to feel pretty good about 45 min later. Will take the Alpha-GPC at 8:00 on schedule. Took a shot of that mid day yesterday to see what it was like. Felt a little bit of an energy surge for about 30 minutes but might have been mental. Not sure how it is supposed to make you feel.

I used two capfuls of flavoring in the pulse fast mix, and it still tastes vile. I am thinking I will need to add about 4 total. How much flavoring are you guys using?

TK, may I ask what your background is? Thinking medical Dr. based on your avatar.

Also, what area of study would I look into to gather more information about this topic of insulin release and the downstream effects?

Thanks very much for providing the info on how this works. Much appreciated.

About 2 hours into the fast, about 8:00 AM feeling feel great! Euphoric even. If I feel this way all day I could live on this stuff.

Will try to keep updates coming throughout the day so details don’t become lost in summarizing after the fact.

It’s about 10:00 AM, 3 hours into the fast (I guess it’s actually 13 hours in if we start counting from 9:00 PM yesterday) and I feel awesome. Mentally strong, focused, no real hunger.

It was actually not all that easy to finish the full 400 ml at 9:00 AM…just was not hungry. Forgot to add more liquid flavoring to the mix. Will add another cap full and see how it tastes.

Having a cafe americano, black (it’s a shot of expresso mixed with hot water). Probably won’t drink the whole thing, but wanting some caffeine for some reason.

Will not have any more coffee after this as I want to be able to sleep tonight. Planning to deadlift tomorrow.

I’m doing my first one today as well. I did my workout at 8am. It got a bit brutal about two hours after that, so I took a walk. Just had another pulse, and have 3 more to go. I’m gonna eat like a pig tomorrow. I can already see it!

LR, sounds like you did a regular workout then. How did it feel during the workout? Any issues? I am concerned about things like getting light headed if I push like normal.

The only thing I have to compare it to is when I have tried to workout during a low carb phase. I basically feel rotten, unmotivated, and aggravated when I try to train with no carbs in me. Hoping this will be different. Not a deal breaker, cause I could just wait until the day after, but prefer not to lose a day if I can avoid it.

I actually did one of the much shorter ‘Neural Charge’ workouts. Everything just felt normal to me, although I was a little sluggish at first.

It probably was a little similar to a workout when you first go low carb, but because it was quick (40mins), and weight was at around 50-60% of max, so it didn’t impact much.

Are you training twice tomorrow?

Would like train twice tomorrow to but probably will not…it’s my anniversary.

It’s almost 1:00, starting to feel spacey, and a little trace of headache. Hoping the 1:00 pulse will clear my head a bit.

Teeth and tongue are coated…thinking I probably should be rinsing my mouth after drnking each pulse, to keep the protein from just sitting there on my teeth.

Added more flavoring…tastes better. thinking 4-6 caps of flavoring is what is needed.

4-6 per bottle (5 pulses) or day (10 pulses)? My package should arrive on Monday, but I won’t do a fast until next Thursday. Can’t wait to try it.

Wow 4-6 caps. I thought I had a sweet tooth. I’m actually scaling down, 1.5 caps/bottle and that includes when I do the Anaconda protocol.

Soon I plan to be at 1 cap, the less artificial color/sweetners the better.

4-6 capfuls per bottle (5 pulses) for my taste. Of course, start with less and then add. I started with 2 and it was vile. Then added more each pulse. 4 was very tolerable. 5 was pretty tasty. For my second bottle I will add 6 total at the start.

With the 2 capfuls of flavoring, it tasted a bit sour. Basically tasted like it smells. The Power Drive has a mild orange flavor so that gets blasted away by the flavoring.

I used the Berry flavoring today. I’ll try the Orange next time.
