Damn! Tough conditions.
Charles Bukowski wasn’t exaggerating.

I find this hard to believe that you are a federal union employee and are not forced to takes breaks during the day.
I quick google search reveals countless threads talking about break periods. You might wanna check your handbook.
I eat in my truck all the time. A chicken and rice meal takes me less than 5 minutes to eat.
Fat loss is okay but muscle loss is my biggest concern.
I’m thinking mag10 and finibars may be the answer.
Yep. 2 10 minutes breaks and a 30 minutes lunch are in the union agreement but, in practice, supervisors/postmasters (at least in my current stations) strongly discourage it. Going so far as to mention my 2 breaks in my time there as a negative during my most recent evaluation.
Do you have a union steward? Or an HR department?
Steward, yes. He said he’ll file a grievance but …. Nothing. I worked at another station where my badge was not recognized so the supervisor was supposed to fill out a form so I got paid. The supervisor failed. The steward is supposed to file a grievance here, too, but, nothing.
That is awful. I would elevate this.
Breaks are basic human needs. I would escalate. No reason you couldn’t take (3) five minute breaks during the day. I would raise this with your union. Totally redic!!!
I’ve never been a union employee, but this seems like the whole reason you have a union?
I’m not familiar with your work situation (although it does sound shady as fuck.)
I doubt 12 hours will make you lose muscle, especially driving most of the day. Just pick an intermittent fasting meal plan and arrange it around your schedule.
I get it, the mail has got to be delivered, but if you can’t stop for literally 1-2 minutes a few times a day to drink a shake, then you need to reevaluate your relationship with work. Nobody on planet earth is going to care if you stop a few times a day for adequate hydration/nutrition, and if they do just give them the finger.
EDIT: Started reading more into your situation. I would log everything: when you come to work, when you take your breaks and for how long, how many stops you make, how many deliveries you make, how often your supervisor does XYZ to you, what vehicle you drive, when you go home, everything. If they give you grief to the point of threatening your job or pay, well that much documentation and information on your behalf will go a long way. Fuck them.
I thought so as well. The longer I’m at the Post office the more I realize people are just there until they can retire. No one cares about doing their job.
Until now, I have a string of text messages between myself, all my supervisors, and even the postmaster herself. Journaling sounds like a good idea from here on forward. Thank you.
