Made Fun of For Eating Healthy?

You should have done this to the waiter:

Best part of the whole movie. The fluid movement of taking off the guys shirt and then smacking him in the face, the other guy had no f**king clue what was going on.

And yeah people often thinks its weird that I’ll eat meals consisting of just heaps of meat and sh*t loads of vegetables.

They often want to say something like all that meat is bad for you but then know not to since i’m eating like 5 times the amount of veg in their sh*tty pasta carbonara.

If you want to fit in then this isn’t the right activity for you to participate in…don’t be so thin skinned to other people…you need to develop a threshold for public scrutiny/criticism…

Sounds like you (OP) need to learn a bit of balance. There’s nothing wrong with ordering the type of meals your mates ordered (or just skip the fries/potatoes etc). If your diet is that good, a little indulgence isn’t bad.

It sounds to me like you are on a ketogenetic diet…in which case…why?

At 19 years old, I find it hard to believe that you need a “contest diet” like that to get ripped. Sorry if that sounded ageist lol

Welllllll, if your “friends” are treating you like that then it’s time for a friend upgrade!

Buncha ignorant queers!!!

Of course, not. People instantly assume I’ll crush them if they even slightly offend me.
Apart from that, I’m a nice guy.

Besides, my friends know that I can out-eat every single one of them. Respect++

LOL…that was sort of my point early on. Anyone who actually is trying to get big is not going to be afraid to eat in public. My friends know I eat pounds of beef like potato chips so making fun of what I order at a restaurant would never happen.

I don’t give people shit about what they eat it’s not my body. My friends can do whatever they want as far as food consumption goes. Back in the day people used to give me shit for eating healthy all the time but that was back when I first started out. I was a food Nazi and kept away from any junkfood all the time anytime i wouldn’t even have a single cookie or a hamburger at a BBQ it was all chicken and tuna.

Now if my friends want to go out for burgers once or twice a week I go. If they want to order a pizza when were all hanging out, I’ll eat a few slices. If one of my chick friends makes some fudge or cookies or something along those lines I will have a few pieces and wont even think twice about it.

In all honestly I think my body has actually benefited from the extra calories i take in. a 4 by 4 from In N Out is a fantastic addition to a health day of eating.

I’d just be sure to act big by eating more than they ever could.
You don’t call a guy that eats a pile of vegetables AND a 36oz steak a pussy.

Oh, and have a bourbon, neat, for dessert.

i work in IT, and no offense to any jacked IT guys… but jacked IT guys is actually an oxymoron.

i get made fun of all the time about what i eat and that i spend my friday evenings in the gym instead of downtown getting smashed at tila tequila’s.

BUT consider the source. gay for actually caring what they think.

Hahaha, ProX!
My only gripe with eating so much dead animal is the costs. I also tend to eat my home-made chicken breast stripes like chips. But I’m also the guy snacking on feta cheese. Although I’m not sporting a fanny pack, you won’t see me attending meetings without a pack of almonds.
Do you like feta cheese? Damn, it’s a great produce and if you’re ready to pay for it, you can get a great low-fat variant (9% F, 27% P) tasting as good as the ordinary high-fat version. Gets along superbly with dead animal!

Today, I had lunch with my sister and I ordered myself three doener kebab! Damn. I couldn’t get enough of that stuff. But I gotta admit: the third one I ordered just because of this thread

I’m a computer scientist by training and a computer scientist / software architect and developer by trade.
I’ve never been really made fun of. Actually, the propeller heads I’m working with are quite curious about why I eat certain things. They ask, I respond. I don’t lecture without being asked. End of story.

I’ve once led a roundtable wearing a tanktop, though. Among pencil-necked geeks. Not the smartest thing to do, quite provocative, perhaps, but I just felt like it (my employer is not corporate, but science-oriented, so they’re more lenient regarding dress codes and stuff like that).

Made for a very interesting experience: attendees didn’t really know what to make of me - and nobody interrupted me, so it was a very convenient roundtable, I could drive home all points and nobody disagreed.

hahahahahahahaha i’m gunna start wearing a beater to my meetings…

This is very true and what I’ve experienced as a network engineer for the last 9 years. It’s pretty much an all male, nerdy profession. I have yearly meetings with some of our vendors so it’s been awhile since I’ve seen some of them (40-45 lbs). They’re actually more curious about the whole weightlifting and getting bigger thing than the average office douche. Might be because they’ve been picked on and probably wanted to be big and strong their entire lives.

Now OP, how the fuck did you let a gay waiter get away with making YOU look like the a fag in front of your friends? Come on man…he’s a gay waiter. So many possible comebacks haha

Give the waiter some credit…unless the OP was dieting down and actively trying to lose weight, I still don’t understand avoiding the foods he did.

Fuck Tila Tequila. Gym is the right choice for sure.

i am at least big/strong enough that i can order whatever i want w/o fear of people (especially randos) making fun of my lifestyle choices.

You hang out with a bunch of wimps?

You guys have some boring ass friends if they don’t make fun of you, I don’t care how big you are.

oh airtruth…

I’d really like to be part of a T-Nation get-together.

Big guys. Eating big.
Demolishing one all-you-can-eat joint after another.
Taking their sweet time.

That would be so rad. 8-(|:-)
