The new Biotest product “M” is billed as a potent
estrogen buster!? (If this is not accurate, please
correct me.) Question: Would this product have
any practical application for someone like my Dad,
who has a “trophy-sized” but benign prostate? He
is unable to weight train because he is partially
disabled as a result of a severe auto accident suffered
some years ago. (He is 67) … Bill/Chris/Cy - What
do you think? Sincerely, Joey Z.
I’m not an expert at this, but taking something like vitex MAY prevent your Dad from having his prostate growing any larger, being that it’s already large. I assume you’ve read TC’s article on how estrogen affects prostate growth.
I’d definitely say it’s worth a try. Not sure of all the ingredients in “M” but from what Brock has said, I think it could help.
Yes, reeshdawg, TC’s article is what prompted my inquiry,
that and Cy Willson’s work on the DISASTROUS effects that
estrogen has on a man’s body! (starting with The “War on
Estrogen” Strength Training, Bodybuilding & Online Supplement Store - T NATION.
html). Thanks, Cy. I truly appreciated your response on this
and the 3 or 4 other times you answered questions for me
on this forum! I was going to order a few for myself so I’ll
probably get 2 more for Dad; it’s only money! I forgot that
this was Brock’s “brain child,” and I apologize to him for not
putting his name on this thread! Sincerely, Joey Z.
Glad I could help bud.
I’d greatly prefer blood tests to monitor estrogen levels, and Arimidex use titrated
to keep estrogen levels at about the middle
of the lower half of the normal range. That’s a more certain method with no possible surprises.
Bill, thanks for your response which confirms my belief that he
needs to find a NEW doctor. None of the previous doctors that
he has been to have even HINTED at a blood test for estrogen.
Recently, at my request, he asked his family doctor about the
ARMIDEX, and all he got was a blank stare. P.S. Again, thanks.
Now to find a physician who has heard of ARMIDEX and who will
test his “E” level. (His current urologist sucks! - no pun intended.)
