It sounds like the camp-over was lots of fun. Hmm…the kilt lifter. I’ll have to try that. Is it a local beer or can you get it anywhere?
I’m excited to hear about beginning the judo stuff. That will be super cool. It’s also always nice to have something to train for. I find I train harder if there is a goal involved.
The good news is, I’ve figure out a lifting and judo schedule for the next school semester. The bad news is all this thinking about being locked indoors lifting an studying for the next ten months has made it clear to me that I should be cherishing the outdoors as much as possible in the one week I have left. So for the last week I’ve been running at night when the heat is mostly disipated, doing pullups, pushups, hiking, etc. I’m also going on vacation for half of next week. This log will continue once I can’t get outdoors.

First things first. Here’s the chocolate red wine. It’s everything you hope and dream when you hear the phrase “chocolate infused red wine”.
Planning on using this workout Program Two-Day Workout and will be working out on the weekend days since my week is going to consist of 19 hours of classes and 20+ hours of studying/homework.
I’ve decided to make it a goal this semster to develop some ocd qualities; all my friends who have them coincidentially also possess the best grades, so I started by making a week schedule where my every meal, class, studying session, and workout are planned out. Half of my textbooks are already ordered… Let’s see if I can do this.
I used to love the fresh start of a new semester. What are you studying anyway? I apologize if I’ve missed that.
In terms of managing my schedule, I have found that I am much better with a task orientated approach to my life than an hourly driven one. Every week I make a “to do” list. The things on that list get down. Time is irrelevant. Sometimes I come out ahead and sometimes I have to work a lot harder/more than I would like.
i found being slightly OCD helped me through school, yeah. keeping a diary or big wall planner, too. writing down every single piece of assessment etc.
um… might be a little late for it… but sometimes you can get hold of past years outlines and get most of the reading done before the course even starts…
Nadia- I’m majoring in biology. It’s difficult to do a task oriented approach with physics and o-chem because you really just need to put in hours doing practice problems and what often happens, with me at least, is I’ll spend a whole day doing one subject practice and not allott my time wisely, or even give myself breaks so I’m more efficient with what I do manage to get done. Then there are the lab reports… (ick!). Also, I’m taking a 300 level anthropology class and a writing in the major class…so hour by hour organization seems like the only way I’ll remember to eat and workout.
Alexus- I just returned from upstate New York where I had the unique experience of swimming with beavers! Also, there were tons of baby bass (2-5 inches) which displayed no fear when checking me out. Several even tried attacking (felt like getting snapped lightly with a rubber band) and one let me poke him with my finger. It was somewhat funny and mostly surreal.
swimming with beavers - sounds cool. I’ve seen them from far a few times. My brother swam with otters in Main a couple of years back. He wasn’t expecting company so they scared the crap out of him. lol!

Haha. That’d be great to watch as the loving sister.
I googled beaver and this is what it came up with. I know this is supposed to be a drying pelt, but I like to think of it as the beaver dreamcatcher.
swimming with beavers sounds cool. i don’t think we get beavers in this part of the world. lol at the beaver dreamcatcher. i totally see that. ah, science. lots of lab times. i did arts so we didn’t have labs but were expected to do one hell of a lot of reading.

What the heck is going on in this log, swimming with beavers??? Speaking of which my friend used to work for a gyno named Dr.Beaver (true story).[/quote]
LMAO!
Nicole, my ART lady (and chiro) is called Dr Paine. It’s not as funny as Dr Beaver but it certainly feels appropriate when she is digging her muscular thumbs into my calves.
