The lunch that I currently take to work is pathetic - a turkey sandwich (2 slices of whole grain bread and 2 slices of Healthy Choice turkey) and an apple. Even more pathetic considering that I’m bulking.
What do you guys like to pack for lunch at work when you’re trying to gain mass? By the way, I should always have access to a refrigerator, but I don’t know about a microwave.
I’m an Army contractor and depending on where I’m working on base, there might not be a microwave or I might not have time to use it. So, any recipes that taste great without needing to be heated would be much appreciated.
If i were in your position i would cook up a pound or two of ground beef, throw some cheese, salsa, sour cream and call it a meal…or two meals if 2lbs of beef got cooked up
While making dinner the night before eg. steak/sweet potato’s, fry another steak, throw some more sweet potato’s in the oven, maybe add some chicken breasts and voala, lunch the next day

Same as I do, put chicken brests, and potatos cut in half on a trey, put on some spice. Make a loot so I have lunch in several days. That stuff I can eat cold or warm.
We had tacos last night, so I made about 3/4th a lb of extra ground beef; Threw that, and some re-fried beans in a plastic thing. In another smaller plastic thing some salad and a hand full of shreded cheese.
Heat meat, stir in salsa and cheese. Serve with 20oz of whole milk and an apple or orange.
In the fridge I have 8 chicken breasts I also grilled last night. They’re for the rest of the week.
Tonight I’ll go home, make up 2 meals in plastic containers, along with a piece of fruit and 10 hard boiled eggs(also have a baggie of protein shake) and put that all a spot in the fridge. Wake up tomorrow, it all goes in my lunch bag and I eat. The key is the plan ahead and make it a ritual.
I get comments on the size of my lunch bag and the amount i eat all the time. When I tell them I’m trying to gain weight they normally just look at me weird and go away.
That sandwich is pathetic for a bulking diet. I make atleast 5 PBJs to eat throughout the day. Gained 13lbs in 6 weeks so far. I’m hoping to hit 185 by Thanksgiving.

I just had a 16oz rib eye in honor of this post. Damn that was good, I cook a mean steak.
Cook everything as if its for a large family, then you’ll have a few days of leftovers. If you actually are preparing for a large family I’d consult an army cook for further advice.
