Low-Carb Grow! Vs. Nitrean

I have had both recommended to me to use in place of 100% whey protein shakes. Shakes are my primary source of protein and I am trying to add mass, and yes I know whole foods are better than shakes, but I don’t eat meat, cottage cheese, eggs or tofu…because I don’t like them…they make me gag…thus I rely on shakes.

I have had both Nitrean and Low-Carb Grow! recommended quite a few times now, so I was just wondering if one is better than the other, nutrient, taste, price, quality???

Thanks

T-Nation is sponsored by Biotest, a supplement company that makes Low-Carb Grow!, so…

That said, Low-Carb Grow! is an excellent protein powder. It has micellar cassein which is very slow-acting, making it an excellent-probably the best-source of pre-bed protein.

I would still urge you to work on expanding your whole-foods protein horizon. It will be much harder to achieve your goals of competing solely relying on protein supplements, in my opinion.

I like to sprinkle banana Grow! on my tuna and I mix chocolate Grow! with my veggies…trust me, I gag at food too. I mean, food just plain sucks.

Grow!, without hesitation because of the micelar casein. Go read what is said about it. Nevertheless, some 100% whey protein is still of use!

Other than PWO? I think a protein blend is probably preferable, especially for someone who would be relying on it as heavily as she plans to.

Just pull up the nutrition label on Low-Carb Grow! or Classic Grow! and you will see that you are not only getting high quality ingredients but you are getting a splendor of vitamins and minerals as well.

Taste wise I have purchased every Grow! flavor and enjoy them all :-).

Grow! is better than all other protein shakes!

You could always try a taste test, but I already know which one would win.

and you would know that how, im pretty sure you’ve never tried atlarge nitrean before and for everyones refrence nitrean is also a blend of micellar casein, whey, and egg proteins.

And you would know what supplements I’ve tried how?

How can you be pretty sure about any thing I’ve tried?

Calm down guy. I have tried both Nitrean and Low-Carb Grow!. I like and use both. I find Low-Carb Grow! superior in some respects, especially because of its variety. Chocolate and vanilla can get a little dull. You don’t know the TMM or what she’s used. Go easy on her.

I didn’t know about Biotest and T-Nation…
As for whole foods, sure that’d be great. But when I said that meat, eggs, tofu and cottage cheese make me gag, I wasn’t kidding! And I figure if I’ll end up, ummm…pardon me, throwing up the above mentioned foods, it won’t do me any good anyways…So if you have any suggestions beyond what I am already eating feel free to let me know.

Low-Carb Grow! vs Classic Grow, what is the differences? Are these protein shakes or Meal Replacements?

I use Nitrean because it’s much cheaper than Grow!. Both are quality products though.

Sorry, i’m not seeing Micellar casein or egg protein. I see Casen Peptides and Instantized egg albumen and a lot of whey fractions.

Looks like the proof is in the pudding.

6% Bovine Serum - Cy Willson specifically addressed this bullshit in one of his CyBorgs

Glutamine Peptides - Denounced by David Barr

I choose Low-Carb Grow! pudding… garaunteed quality…

Okay, so I know some of you might roll your eyes at this question, hopefully not. Either way, what is so special about micellar casein as opposed to Casen Peptides, egg albumen and whey fractions???

Well, if you must know, TMM is actually made of Micellar Casein. Yea, she was a little puff of slow digesting protein when she was born and she’s a colorful array of this highly anabolic protein now that shes all grown up and kickin’ it to me…I mean kicking ass on T-Nation. Yes.

And thats why Grow! tastes so good and thats why I love TMM…I mean protein, as in Grow! from TMM.
Whom I love. Too.

P.S Just look into product descriptions on the front page and you’ll get some of the info you need.

micellar casein is a very pure unmolested form of casein that contains all of the pure aminos etc… Where as the fractions are just that fractions peices of the casien.

You could try reading the Low-Carb Grow! Product Thread. If more is needed you could also google on Casien and you should get more than enough info to read.

Sorry little presswed for time or Id do some of the work for you.

I would lean toward the Gropw Just from looing at the ingredients without knowing the taste difference. I say try them both if need be and let them speak for themselves

Just my 2 cc,
Phill
