When I did a BB show, I went from 250 to 200lbs in 12 weeks. I ate the typical BB carbs sweet potatos and oatmeal (2 sweet potatos and 2 packets of oatmeal a day). That for me was low carb seeing as I’m italian, 'nuff said! well i also did 2 cardio sessions a day and worked out 5 times a week and for a period of three weeks I added circuit training in the morning w/cardio then weights + cardio at night everyday! I had lots of free time. I was a nutcase and also a mess. I was so messed up it was kinda funny. But by reading t-mag and from experience I hope to get back to that shape and thanks to you guys and John B I’m on my way. But here is the lesson I think. We keep talking about fat loss in 2 ways cardio and diet. But I think an emphasis needs to be put on doing these together. Low Carb is not the magic bullet neither is enormous amounts of cardio, so once we learn to combine both in moderate amounts I think there in lies the answer. Now on my quest for the holy grail, i.e. being ripped or at least lean, I think I will try and manipulate both in a moderate way. So yes I am starting the quest off with some low carb dieting just to get the ball rolling, but John’s last post was fantastic as well. So here is everybodys answer to how to get ripped, read this post and John’s last one and your all set.
