Hi, I’ve been cutting for the last 3 or so months, and I have to say I noticed a dip in my sex drive. I hardly ever get morning wood and it’s just not the same. Is it a side effect of low body fat or is am I just experiencing a drop in testosterone levels because of staying in a calorie deficit? I’ve never been this lean before.
I would have to say that it is that calories are just low. I have a friend who competes and when he goes onto a contest prep diet he loses sex drive as he gets closer and closer to the show and becomes leaner and leaner. But as soon as he starts eating more food after the show his drive just goes right back through the roof according to him so I say its more a calorie problem rather than a being too lean problem.
it could be a g/f problem.
get a hotter g/f.

Make sure you’re consuming enough fat in your diet while in a deficit. Also throw some zinc into your diet, most guys get it via ZMA taken on an empty stomach before bed.

Keep those healthy fats up.
Did you diet via a low calorie, low fat approach ?
Sorry to ask a question that some others may be wondering:
Are you cutting natural, or taking advantage of pharmeceuticals? If you aren’t natural, then you are likely aware that some AAS’s and cutting agents can significantly lower your sex drive.
In either case, it should be possible to keep test levels stable (and subsequently your sex drive) while cutting…

shows how little i know about aas, i’d always assumed that if i upped my test levels ever more, then i’d never get anything accomplished due to a constant hard on.
ZMA…my member wakes up long before me.

The only thing that increases testosterone levels is Testosterone. The guy who posted above you is not talking about using just testosterone. Testosterone is not what causes accelerated muscle growth. It is the effect that testsoterone has on other biological functions that accomplish this. Other steroids achieve this same effect (to varying extents) without the other effects of Testosterone (which is why other steroids were created in the first place). Other AAS are specifically designed to promote muscle growth but only Testosterone will make a man feel more like a man, if you get what I mean there. Even using test only, there is a point of diminishing returns and even negative effects on sex drive if T levels get too high. Other things like rising E levels and SHBG come into play in those cases though and is far too complicated to get in to.

As I recall this is caused by a lipase deficiency. I experienced this same phenomenon.
I think eating peanuts should do the trick.
Close call! It was academic stress more than anything else. I’m dieting down using the approach that CT describes in his physique transformation refined article.
All natural.
