I got to train at westside 2 times, once when I just getting serious after my first World Championships, he introduced me to the world of bands and chains and speed work.
The second time just for a few minutes on my way back from the Arnold Fitness expo. He took time to talk to me and help me with some core work…
There dog is sooo cute! lol

Westside Is a GREAT place to train!
I wish I had the gas to go there more often.

LUCKY! I would kill to get up there. Congrats on all your successes by the way, your lifts blow my mind lol.[/quote]

Thanks. It was a great experience to get to go to WESTSIDE… I Mean to see the wall of fame and all the old records that still haven’t been touched! I am actually good friends with Mike Wolfe, He invited me to go to Ohio a couple times a month to bench with him and his gang… He is flipping crazy!! lol
I am def going to get down there soon though

Thanks for the support. I am still working on getting back up to my gym prs . Dropping 40lbs seems to affect your lifting a lil :stuck_out_tongue: lol but I am working back up to it. I am glad I got to drop though. Finally!

Stay Strong man!

Old thread to bump but I forgot about the good stuff in here. The video has some good stuff on there as well.

I’ve devoured everything by Simmons and one thing that is on my to-do list is to get out to Westside and try to pick his brain for at least a couple of hours. I’ve learned a ton for my own training and also with the athletes I’ve worked with; not necessarily just the exact Westside template but just looking at the approach they take and figuring how to apply the various methods to other sports.

Good stuff.

He def is a cool guy he would take the time to talk to you!
