Flour and sugar have a very similar response, however whole grains that are NOT processed in the same way as flour do not… Most likely due the fiber still attached that slow digestion down
So multiple reps at a good weight… we are talking about no DOMS? are we talking about no lactic acid build up? what do you mean by “soreness” etc?
Correct.
So no DOMS… and no lactic acid build up when squatting… Suppose you did a wall sit or just squatted down the NEXT day? How long before you felt a burn?
I don’t have to suppose: I woke up the next morning and did 50 prisoner squats. No burn.
What are you putting in? (to replace the glycogen, or are you a cyborg)
Those meals I just posted.
I also make use of electrolytes.
Cool stuff… and you dont do any post workout protein powders with added stuff etc i take it? You are all steak and eggs?
Dietitian here - if your protein intake is high enough, your body will convert some of it to glucose (gluconeogenisis) to fuel the muscles. Also, without carbs, you’ll eventually get into a ketogenic state and start producing ketones which function as an energy source for your heart, brain and muscles. Carbs are NOT essential, they aren’t the devil but you can live without them. The body is smart like that.
Do you think the liver likes doing this constantly?
You’d have to ask it, but I would guess more than it likes metabolizing drugs and alcohol.
This is why a well planned ketogenic/super low-carb diet is cyclical. There are planned refeedings and periods when carbs aren’t restricted at all.
Do you think your pancreas enjoys secreting a butt-load of insulin to cover a high carb intake all of the time?
Balance, my friend. Balance.
I’m not here to fight. I’m not a fan of extreme diets in most cases. But, you need to find what works for YOU and just because it works or doesn’t work for you doesn’t mean that it is or isn’t a fit for someone else.
Definitely… thanks for the response
One thing I found interesting is: over 90% of serotonin is produced in your gut (lately been taking a good look at what goes in)
the only thing thats filling for it’s volume here is the eggs, and thats mostly because they releases ghrelin (“full” hormone) when you eat them.
Sardines are extremely nutrient dense, meaning you get a whole lot of macros for very little filling.
Chicken breast is very dense protein, meaning you get a whole lot of protein for very little filling.
Protein shake isn’t even food.
250g rice is about 200g carbs. It fills up a 4 cup container when cooked. Youd be hard pressed to find food that has more volume for the calories unless you start looking for vegetables (hint hint).
Switch to lean beef, rice, and veggies. I promise you’ll stop being so hungry.
The eggs are fine, just high in fat.

yes. the answer is yes he is.
I’m one of those inefficient early models of Terminator robots that is primarily powered by beef ribs and eggs. “The Termeateater”

For breakfast: 1/2 cup of oatmeal with 2.5 ounces raspberries and 2.5 ounces blueberries. Oatmeal and raspberries will sit in your stomach for hours. Eat that with a side of eggs or a protein shake.
For lunch and dinner: Buy a dual zone air fryer. In one side cook 6 ounces of broccoli and 6 ounces of cherry tomatoes. In the other side cook 6 ounces of chopped russet potato or sweet potato (get a vegetable chopper to speed this up). Serve these as sides with your meat.
I think you mentioned this a while back too. I’ve done this a few times recently and it is really good. I was wondering where I’d seen it and why I thought it was a good idea until now.
Thanks for that. ![]()
I find that mayo makes me feel sick, even the nicer mayo’s with “clean” oils
Sour cream or Greek yoghurt works better for me. Also adds pleasant acidity
Hell yeah brother! Good to have another convert.
Remember the words of our savior Randall Savage, who died for our sins
I’m with @anna_5588 Greek Yogurt for the win! More protein and in my opinion, it tastes better. (But, I am a little weird…)
