Had a great time. Saw a bunch of new stuff. Hard to come home really. Vacation always makes me want to do something different and move to new places… back to reality.

I get this too. I always start thinking about a tree change or move to a quieter life when I’ve had a break. I always manage to talk myself out of it and just settle back into real life.

The yard work is progressing well. The battle against nature is unwinnable so finding a way to mold it into something I can live with is the current project.

I had a great time on my road trip with my daughter. We had all kind of expencies with the road to Seattle and then down the coast through Northern California near Legget, on hwy 1.

School starts soon and I need to update my classes. I’ve been working on them to enhance the student involvement next year…this is like nature.

Been lifting since we got back from Cresent City, CA.

Last night I got yelled at by one of the two guys from our gym going out to nationals. He said to me “bitch, load some weight on your back.” He said it after I called his squat high. Just sub 500.

Later he loaded 500 for the first time ever. I watched…he hit good depth and it was the first time ever with 500 on his back. I told him it was solid for depth and if we don’t see each Other before they leave in two weeks “you guys are ready, go represent.”

It’s awesome that the road trip was such a success. I feel like almost everyone talks about a trip like that but never gets around to it.

School time already? Poor kids!

Sometimes it’s hard to take the yard. I could go to someone else’s property and ruthlessly cut down any trees or bushes to clear things up, but I agonize over every branch in my overgrown yard.

I’ve threatened to roundup the hole yard and bring in gravel.

The yard work has been a good thing. Therapeutic…almost.

I’m grinding away. Back to 4 days a week doing some fluff stuff for 12 weeks. It’s cool to lift without getting injured.

I’ll lift heavy again but not for 12 more weeks…

1st week is done. Weights are light and reasonable. Somewhere around 50% of max for 4 sets of 12-15 for a main exercise then 4-5 exercises for 3 sets same rep scheme.

I’m sore all over head to toe. Crazy program.

I’m already missing lifting heavy. But I’m riding this one out.

The back is near 100%. Finally.

What exactly are you doing? Are you following a particular program or just doing your own thing?

I’m following a program. Something my son picked out.

It’s hard enough. Add in a gym with zero AC and 90/100 degree heat and it’s brutal.

Body fat check— 18.91% basically 19%

Down from 22 in Feb. and 29% in November

Hit some deadlift tonight. First time in a long time to hit 405.

Hit a 405x5 had more but left it here…

Then did the program back and bi work with abs.

I’ll add deadlift to the back day. 8,5,3,1 on the different phases 15s,12s,8s,5s.

Db rows- 4x12
Wide lat pulls
Standing rows
Straight arm pull downs
Barbell curls
Incline curls
Overhead cable curls
Weighted crunches
Hanging leg raise
Db side things

Some of this stuff will be ridiculous to hit 5s on… what ever.

Squat session coming soon.

Tonight is 4 sets of 9-11s with a rest pause set.

I’m thinking 205-225. I did 185 for 12 last week. The workout will go down tonight at 10pm :flushed:.

It will be cooler then, so, hey I’ve got that to look forward to.

I did find a gym to go to in Hilton Head, SC next week. Anyone live there reading this?
