Your not a weakling now…just a old bastard like me. ![]()
It’s not weakness; it’s just that your body hasn’t had to recruit all of your muscle fibers like that in a while. It’s inefficient. A few sessions will wake it up and the strength will come back.
Yeah J is right about that Hog.
But keep it nice and steady, build it up slowly.
Glad to see, you’re starting to feel good.
@Frank_C and @mortdk are on the money.
A couple of heavy sessions back does wonders. Your body will remember, just don’t go and fuck up all this rehab stuff with some max pulls now though, especially considering you keep saying your backs not 100%. Remember, you want to be in this for the long haul and not be a normal old man later on in life
You won’t have lost any strength mate you are just out of practice
I think I’m gonna take the next couple of weeks off from lifting. My back is much improved almost zero stiffness. I am having some issue with my feet. I’m working in the yard every morning 4-6 hours barefoot cleaning up some overgrown areas, so I am getting exercise. My daughter and I will take a trip next week out west (Oregon/ Washington) and I’m ready to shit it down and regroup.
Sounds like a good idea. Spend some quality time with family and regroup. It’s a good time to work out what you want and come up with a slow and steady plan to get there.
I’ll jump on the “not a weakling” band wagon. I just hit 385 for 4 singles on deads and they were heavy and slow, 385 is my 5 RM from over the winter.
Enjoy the time off, strength will come back as you grease the groove. Good to hear about your back feeling better
How big is your yard?
right? #yardgoals lol.
Yeah right! That’s a lot of area to keep under control, I struggle with our 400 square metres, haha
Headed to Seattle. 2300 miles there. Been driving since 4pm. It’s 11pm. Going to Selena Kansas… Denver will be halfway.
That’s one long drive.
Yer my back would be rooted after that drive !!
Ah the good ol roadtrip, I’m heading off on a 3500k roadtrip in a few weeks, on dusty outback tracks !
Check in: Seattle…check
Mt Rainer… check
In Lincoln Oregon driving down the coast to N Cali.
I got a few reps of cable press and flys at a truck stop that had a mini gym. While waiting on my daughter to finish the business
I hope to stay out of prison while here. Staying away from the green depots will help or not running the meth zombies.
Did some squats, Deads, SSB, RDL and farmers.
