I’m up. 3 people and only 1- 1/5. The other was the girls and is still around.

We are doing some carpenter work today. The headache is minor. I’m really surprised given the beer I drank 10-12.

Built a porch today with a set of French doors. From recycled wood frame doors. Cleaned up a rent house. Just helping out the in-laws really.

Didn’t have any refreshments today. Weighed 267 this pm :man_facepalming::flushed:. Holy crap. Like 7lbs in 2 days.

The Kraken is good. I did some venezuelan rum yesterday, and beer as well.

I squatted yesterday up to 225 x10. I didn’t want to push too deep today but I did want to take something relatively heavy. After we got done we figured out the bar is 55lbs so I ended up with 325x1. This is the most I’ve done since the strain. It was a struggle to hold form and the rep was not as fast as I would like 315ish to be. I had more but I’m working back slowly. And cutting so this was a good weight to hit for today.

The RDLs felt good. At some point tonight my lower back loosened up and felt weird. It was going from tight to loose but no pain. I think the body is in a very critical place. It’s beginning to trust that the injury is healed but not strong in that place yet. I’ll keep 325-355 as a training max for now and no rush to hit 355.

Belt squat marches are money right now and I’ll keep them in the leg day rotation. Westside taught me to use variation to my advantage. It also taught me to not stray too far from my comp lifts I’m not experienced enough to need much variation. Working my squat form is paying dividends and is much improved.

Injury has been the best teacher I’ve had recently. I don’t wish it on anyone. But it has taught me that diving too deep and working outside of form is a poor decision

Well seeing your lifting future flash before your eyes and almost breaking your back will do that sort of thing. Maybe if I was younger and hard headed I would be like “freak accident, I got this shit, hold my beer watch this”

I’ll see sub 259 this week. School is out. I have full control of diet morning and night. Stress loads are way down. Sleep is on point. Summer is the gains train for me. I’ll use summers in the future as my strength blocks and school times for hypertrophy and maintaining

So your big break is the middle of the year Hog? How many weeks holidays do you lot get there? We get 6 week in summer over Xmas, then 3 more lots of 2 for the school terms.
